Chereads / Super Thief / Chapter 30 - Ravens 3

Chapter 30 - Ravens 3

'Why would the System warn him about choosing this death match but not warn me when I accepted the death match of the Chickens, is it because they are stronger...No I am sure it is not that'

'Then what the heck is wrong!, what the heck is going on, what did I not know, just what is it that is going on behind the scenes, what is the raven's gland and the crystal hiding from me.'

Leo ransacked his aching head in search of an answer but he could think of nothing. After wasting about 30 seconds he decides to ask Crystal.

'Please, what is wrong? you should tell me what is going on, your words and the actions of the ravens are confusing me to death!... tell me!'

'...'

'Fuck!, why can't you speak, say something' Leo was as confused as hell, as much as he wanted to overlook it he knew this would hinder him in the long run.

He wanted to know, His fear of the unknown is what was driving him insane right now, what should he do.

His Instincts were barring its alarm in his head, warning him, telling him to find out what was wrong as quickly as possible or things would end up not going well for him.

His heart became heavy, its beating became sluggish...he started feeling dizzy...he trust his instincts, trusted them with his life...for it to ring such a loud alarm in his heart he knew that his life is in great danger, he did not know how.

after another ten seconds of silence, the crystal finally spoke startling him out of his dizzy world.

'I am restricted from giving off information about this to the host'

Its answer shocked Leo to the core.

'System, I thought I am the only one that has access to this dungeon'

'Yes, you are!'

'Then who could it be, what is restricting you from giving me such an important piece of information tell me, is it the native of this dungeon...fucking tell me so that I can know what to do!!!'

The crystal's next sentence shocked and confused him even more.

'You'

It was just one word, but Leo knew that behind that word there is many secrets that he, himself did not have a single idea of.

'What do you mean me!?' Leo asked, shouting like a madman before gasping at the revelation that got into his head.

'D-Do you mean that I am the one that is restricting you!?' Leo shouted again.

'Yess...you're the one that restricted me from giving you this information

Hearing Crystal's answer Leo felt like he was going crazy, he could not help but ask the system for the second time.

'Did I hear you right? Did you just say that I am the one that restricted you from giving me this information?l'

'When? How? Why? just when the heck did this happen, how am I supposed to handle this' Leo thought to himself.

He was going crazy, Yes that must be what is happening...all this was just a mad illusion...I never restricted anyone

Leo held his silver hair tightly and started pulling it. He pulled it so much that it hurts. Despite the hurting feeling...he didn't stop.

He wanted to feel pain! a deep mind-numbing pain! a pain that would assure him that all this was just an illusion... yes!

A prank by the System,

but despite his current thoughts that had the sole aim of assuring himself...he knew it was the opposite

His face continued to change from one expression to the other as countless thoughts clouded his mind.

The Ravens there watched amusingly

at the change in expression on Leo's face...Their Leader a level 6 raven was enjoying the show so much that one time it screeched and the other time cackled, its tone sarcastic and insulting.

'There is no way he is going to find out, and by the time he does it will already be too late...not only that but I also want to know whether he has enough strength to back up his earlier words'

The Raven was waiting to see whether Leo would accept or decline. Either way, it was a win-win for it. What he was waiting for would still come whether Leo accepted or declined, what matters now was when it was coming

Leo had been boasting a few minutes ago calling them weak, if Leo accepted the invitation... although it was what a strong person should do [like, not being a coward that runs away any time he or she senses danger] it would inevitably and mean that he was walking directly into their trap. But If he declined the invitation, then this boy is a coward...and they will make quick work of him...he would end up as their breakfast.

He looked at the time again.

He was running out of time quickly. Instead of wasting time and thinking about all this, he should face everything head-on. It's not like having any control over this current situation, Everything that's happening right now was so confusing...So he sighed.

Something he just did do that he would calm himself from the torrent of unanswered questions that were seeking to release his wild curiosity from its weak prison. All those questions, he wanted an answer. But it looks like he would not be getting an answer anytime soon.

He accepted the invitation to the death match. His fear increased signaling him that he just chose the most dangerous.

The Ravens did not spare, he and all of them attacked at full force...Leo still fighting and killing as much as he can.

Sure, these beasts are stronger but he still managed to be able to kill them.

One by one the beast dropped dead, if only they were able to do Mana and elemental attacks then things would have been easy for them, but all their attacks were physical, and are not even mid-range...so to strike him they would have to come close...too close for comfort.

And at that point, Leo would have an advantage, which he utilizes to the fullest...They did not give him a chance to breathe and neither did he.

Leo have not yet noticed it but with every fight, his aura kept increasing, his Instincts also increased alongside his aura, and his skills in fighting increased.

The LVL 6 Beast did not join in the fight. It was grinning at Leo's foolishness...

'Let him kill and enjoy killing as much as he wants, he would still be dead anyways'
