Julian stood as he watched Tara walk out of his life.Was she breaking up with him because of a single kiss?
Or was it something else? He still couldn't understand the reason
His heart felt heavy like someone dumped concrete on it.He found it difficult to breathe.
Suddenly,he didn't feel like having fun anymore.He didn't feel like doing anything and to make matters worse,he couldn't tell anyone.
He had to respect her wishes.
"Why?".He murmured as he went back to the party.He didn't want to stay gloomy or depressed or his friends would notice right away.
He grabbed a bottle of alcohol and drank it hurriedly.The music did nothing to drown out his sorrow.
"Hey Julian".Cassandra walked up to him.
Julian frowned.She was the reason he was in this mess.
"Hey".He said blandly.He didn't raise his head to look at her.He wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone
"Cool party huh?".She continued
"Yes". Julian turned to her.He was about to tell her to leave.But hesitated when he saw what she wore.
She was dressed as a witch.A very sexy witch.She wore a long robe with the top buttons undone.The robe hung loosely on her breasts.If she crouched or bent,her breasts would be in full view.Her conical hat completed the entire costume.Julian gulped as he took it all in.
"Is something on my face?".She said,jolting him out of his impure thoughts.
"No".He smirked.He needed something to distract him from the pain and such person stood next to him.
"So,where are you from?".Julian poured himself another glass of alcohol."Want one?".He offered
"Yes".Cassandra replied.Something had changed,he wasn't usually this open.
"Texas,Austin".She said,grabbing the cup from Julian.
"Nice".He replied,taking a gulp of alcohol but his eyes still lingered on her bosoms.
"Look at me more". Cassandra thought.She wore this costume specifically for him ,and she was glad his gaze was on her.Ever since she enrolled at Maybrooks, Cassandra had the hots for him.He was just so hot and kind.
"Announcement!".The host grabbed a microphone."This is for those who are having sex upstairs.Please use protection.I will not be responsible for any babies"
An uproar followed after her statement.Some laughed while others continued what they were doing.
"Who'd be that stupid to have sex without protection?". Cassandra turned to him and chuckled.
"Dumb right".He smirked seductively.
Julian and Cassandra kept ingesting alcohol until their vision turned blurry.
"It's hot in here,wanna go upstairs".Julian offered
Cassandra's heart quickened.This was it,her first bang."Sure".She whispered sexily.
Julian still felt empty for some reason.He was supposed to feel excited and aroused.Although he had been aroused since he laid eyes on her boobs,He felt no excitement.
"Be gentle".Cassandra said before removing her costume.Julian gazed at her every move,the suspense was killing him.
"I will".He dragged her forward and they locked lips for the second time.They collapsed on the bed and went on with the action.
Tara ,like she always did,ran away after breaking up with Julian.She stopped at a tree because she didn't want to go home.What was she doing at the party? Why did she come if she was just going to run away crying?
"Daniel!"Tara exclaimed.She told him to wait for her,but she didn't see him there.
"Where could he have gone to? The guy is drunk,he could be anywhere".Tara took a deep breath and raced back to the party.
Judging by his demeanor towards David,Daniel acted more confidently when drunk.He could go pick a fight with a gangster or even an innocent person.
She arrived at the party breathless.Her gaze wandered off.She saw a couple of guys smoking.They seemed to be talking about a girl.
"Excuse me".Tara approached them."Have you seen Daniel"
"You'd have to be specific love.My name's also Daniel".A guy said
"Martinelli".Tara specified.It felt weird saying his last name.
"Aah".He exclaimed."You mean the nerd"
"Yes".She tightened her knuckles.
"Last I saw him,he was heading in that direction.Looked a little dizzy though"
"Thanks".She said, running in the direction he pointed.
The road was empty.Street lights littered the sides of the road as they shone intently on the ground.
"Daniel!".Tara called out.Where could he have run off to?
She felt guilty.She asked him to the party and now he was nowhere to be found.He had no family or friends,no one would even know he was gone.
She entered an alley and noticed something scurrying in the corner.It continually scratched the wall
"Daniel?".She called out.Fear evident in her voice
No one replied but what came next was a loud hiss.
Tara quickly ran out for fear of being bitten by the snake.
She crouched down in tears.She was frustrated, hurt,and tired.Her eye shadow was already smudged but she didn't care.The only person she dressed up for was Julian and now that he's no more in her life.She needn't worry about people's opinions.
"Shit!".She sniffled, turning her gaze to the sky.The stars glittered like little diamonds.The moon seemed to be moving.
"Don't leave me".Tara made a gesture of extending her hands towards the moon and clasping it tightly.It was like she wanted to have the moon all to herself.
"Lovely night huh?".A voice said.The voice seemed to stem from the corner.
"who's there?".Tara quickly rose.She raised her fists and tried to appear terrifying.
"Tara".Daniel waddled towards her.His eyes were half closed and he seemed to be missing a sock.He was still drunk
"Where have you been?".Tara asked in anger."I've been worried sick"
"Aww".He pouted."That's nice"
Tara felt all the anger dissipate at his next statement.
"Let's go home".Daniel offered as he started walking.
Tara had to stop him from falling into ditches or picking fights with ransom strangers.
"Bye".She said before turning.But realized he was still drunk,there was no way he'd reach his house in one piece
"Wait".Tara called, stopping him from heading down the wrong street.
