Daniel and Tara walked out of the library and continued their conversation.They talked about everything in their lives.
Strangely,they both felt comfortable doing it.
"This is it I guess".Tara said standing in front of her house.
"Wow. it's huge".He marveled
"Thanks. I'll see you around".She waved before turning
"Yeah".He waved back staring at her luxurious jet-black hair
"That reminds me".She turned to face him
Daniel instantly tore his gaze from her."Yeah,what's that"
Tara had an inkling he was staring at her."Why didn't you come for the pool party"
"I didn't get invited".He bowed his head."Even if I did,no one would want me there"
"Oh".Tara tightened her knuckles."Would you like to come with me for the next party"
Daniel stared at her for a few seconds."I told you because I felt comfortable not cos I wanted pity".He turned and headed to his house.
Tara watched him leave and wondered what she did wrong.
"What are you saying?" She called out."Why would you think I'm pitying you?"
"Where's Julian?".He brushed aside her question.
"Does everyone know?!"
"I'm very perceptive".He said
"We kinda broke up".She said sadly
The hurt she tried to bury was now coming back.The image of Julian and Cassandra popped up
"Does he know that?"
"I don't think so"
"I'm sorry but it's obvious you're using me as a distraction". Emotions flickered in his eyes,the major one being rage
"No,I'm not"
"How would you explain hanging out with a nerd?"
"Can't I just genuinely want to do it!".
Daniel stilled.Her words played back in his head.She genuinely wanted to hang out with him.He felt happy,no one had ever said that but he knew what he had to do.This wasn't right.He knew she'd end up regretting it.
"I'm sorry but I have to turn down your invitation"
"Why? You obviously aren't doing anything".She retorted
He shot her a glare and she glared right back.She was right.He had nothing to do.
"If you're seen hanging out with me.You might lose your position in school"
"What makes you think I care?!"
"Believe me, everyone does".He said wistfully
"Fine then,Have fun in your loner world".She violently turned and headed inside, slamming the door behind her.
He winced as she slammed the door but he knew it was for her good.
Elsewhere,Leyla and Maxim were having the time of their lives.Maxim somehow turned a pool into something grand.
The others had gone home which surprised Leyla because they were meant to clean up.The sun had set but the lights from the log house quickly replaced it.
Maxim's hands were clammy.He could think of a million ways he'd get it wrong.He tried to focus as he put the blindfold over her eyes.
"Are you ready?".He asked, leading her out of the log house
"Just show me already".Leyla said excitedly.She felt like she was outside,maybe the pool area?.
"Fine then".He untied the blindfold over her eyes.
She gasped as her mind registered what she was seeing.
"Happy birthday Leyla".His hands gestured to the pool where thousands of rose petals floated about.It was a picturesque scene,like a scene taken out of a movie.In the center of the pool lay a giant rose garland in the shape of an heart.The words "Maxim ❤️ Leyla were inscribed in it.
"How did you—?"
"Does it really matter?".He said, throwing her into the pool
"Argh!".She screamed as she hit the water."Don't ever do that again".
"Do what".He said,jumping in after her."Do you like it?".He swam closer to her
"Yes,thank you".She kissed him lightly on the lips.
"You're welcome".He seized her lips before she could withdraw."But that isn't your birthday present"
"Then,what is?".She stared confusedly
"Come on".He kissed her again before leading her out of the pool.
"But,I'm wet".She looked down at her damp dress.
"Makes it better".He smirked wickedly
They walked into the woods.The nocturnal creatures were now fully active but it did nothing to dampen Leyla's mood.She could only wonder what the surprise was.
Everytime she thought he couldn't do better,he exceeded her expectation.
"How much longer?".She asked.
They had now left the woods and were on a small path which looked oddly familiar to Leyla.
"I guarantee this will blow your mind".He turned to blindfold her
"Really?".She frowned
"The look of surprise on your face makes it worthwhile"
"Fine,just because you said something sweet".She relented
He tied the blindfold and walked her to the end of the path.
The path opened to a large meadow.A blanket had been set in the middle with a small basket.
"Open".He removed the blindfold
"Oh My Gosh!".She brought her hands to her face.This was exactly what she loved.She loved simple things
"You like it?"
"I think you should stop asking me that question; I'll always love it;i'll always love you Maxim".She tiptoed to kiss and embrace him.
"Same here Leyla".He deepened the kiss.
"We shouldn't do it here".She broke the kiss and walked forward.
Maxim pouted as he stared at her but that pout instantly transformed into a smile when she flashed him a seductive smile.
She opened the basket and saw sandwiches which wasn't what she hoped
"Turn that frown upside down.I made it myself".He smiled, obviously proud of himself
"Now I'm skeptic to try it".She voiced her concern
"I tasted it. It's good"
Leyla took his words for it and took a bite of the sandwich.
"There's no way you made this".
"Oh yeah?".He smirked, getting on top of her
"Don't kiss me! I have beef breath"
"Doesn't matter".He leaned to capture her lips.What started out slowly became more passionate and fiery
Leyla moaned as he unleashed his tongue in her mouth.She felt his little buddy poking her down there.
The scenario of doing it under the starry night was thrilling.The cool breeze blowing the scent of their deeds far and wide.
Leyla found it arousing.
"Let's do it".She smiled
"What?".He said, obviously confused
"Let's bang"
"Now,you mean now? Here?"
"Yes.No reason why we can't.This is a safe spot right?"
"Yeah.We own this place"
"Great".Leyla should have been surprised but things like his father owning a mansion or private jet didn't faze her anymore.
"We have no condoms or..."
"I know you always carry a condom around".She removed her dress and lay flat on the blanket with her underwear.
She knew he was worried about getting caught.He was worried about the consequences,so she did what would make him lose all reason.
"I want you in me".She unclasped her bra.
