I originally thought them to be models but on getting closer realized it was just the gang.
"Wow".I whistled
They all sported loosely buttoned shirts with matching shorts.
"Yeah thanks".Eddie frowned as he stared at the log house.His tanned chest coming into view
"Sup Tara".Bruce waved."Seems like I haven't seen you in ages"
"It's been three days Bruce".I laughed softly.My eyes scanned everyone who left the bus but there was no sign of Julian.Maybe he was playing one of his tricks and wanted me to go looking for him.
"Where's joey?".I turned to Eddie
"He came before us,I thought you'd have seen him".
My face paled as soon as Eddie completed his sentence.Joey wasn't on the bus so that meant he was in the log house.
I shuddered at the sight of joey doing unsightly deeds.
"Let's get this party started".Maxim shouted with Leyla trailing behind him.She looked a lot better than earlier.
The music blared once again from the speakers but this time they were people to dance to It.
Few had already gotten into the pool and made themselves comfortable while others relished the barbecued meat by the grill.
I had no idea what I wanted to do.All I knew was I wanted to have some fun.I hastily changed into my swimsuit and joined the party.
I had never been to a party so I had no idea how to act.The girls gyrated their hips sensually and violently as the boys stood behind them and moved their hips in rhythm.Everyone had a look of lust in their eyes like they had been starved for months.
"Yo".Julian waved
"Hey".I replied absentmindedly.But, I was so excited that he showed up.Out of all the guys,He was the hottest.The breeze blew his hair in all directions and I couldn't stop staring at him.
"Did I do something wrong?".He asked leisurely sweeping his hair with his hand.
"Nothing".I replied staring at my reflection in the water.The music had changed to a slow song.Couples by the poolside held their respective partners and danced slowly.
"Wanna go for a swim?".He noticed my look of interest on the pool
"Sure".I answered after a while.I was still mad at him but the water looked so refreshing.
People were already there but the pool was big enough so I wouldn't be cramped.I went down the stairs lightly and swam to the edge.The water level slightly above my chest.
The water around me made me feel at ease.My worries rinsed away as I poured a little on my head.
"Cool?".Julian asked.He had removed his shirt completely,his hair was now wet which only added more to his appeal.
"Yeah".I nodded
"You gonna tell me why you've been ghosting". Julian said staring at the log house.I knew all what happened there and wondered if he wanted to go in there.
"Nothing".I replied
"It's about Daniel, isn't it".He cocked his head revealing his sharp jawline.
My breath caught in my throat."How do you know"
"You started ghosting right after that incident".He explained.
I didn't know how to reply to his allegation and I didn't want to.I felt tired,annoyed and strained more than ever.I wanted him to apologize but this was obviously my fault
"Julian".A dark skinned girl called from the terrace.She winked and flashed him a smirk before going into the log house.
"Who's that?".I asked, jealousy rising in me.
"oh,She's Cassandra".He replied.
"Why did Cassandra look at you like that?".I asked angrily.My happiness meter just went from a hundred to zero in a matter of seconds.
"Nothing,she's new and I happened to be the first guy she's made friends with".He splashed the water with his hands.The pool wasn't deep at all,it was more of a play pool than an actual swimming pool.
"Yeah because you're hot".I muttered under my breath
"What did you say?".He turned to me
"Nothing".I sighed.I didn't want to voice my concerns.Today was supposed to be fun and so far I haven't had any fun at all.
"Chug! Chug! Chug!".The students had now moved to the log cabin and I could hear their chants from out here.
"What's going on?".I stared at the log house
"Bottoms up".He softly smiled and raced out of the pool.
"Geez,How romantic".I murmured.There was no one in the pool,just me by my lonesome.
After conflicted thoughts,I finally decided to go see what was up.They had been shouting for a really long while.
I rose and walked to the log house.I stepped into the log house and it was bustling with activity—Not the sexual kind.A drink contest was underway in the center of the room.The chants stemmed from the crowd watching them.
Elsewhere,There was a very heated debate amongst the nerds.I heard shouts of "Ichigo", "Goku" and the likes.
My thoughts went to Daniel,he would have loved to be among.
The room was wide,too wide infact.It was easily twice the size of me bedroom.I headed to an empty sofa and relaxed there.
My eyes darted around looking for some form of entertainment.I didn't consider teenagers drinking or nerds arguing to be exciting.
My eyes caught something.Julian,he was with the drinking guys and Cassandra was next to him.She didn't look interested in the game but she looked at Julian with sexual intent.
She sidled up to him from time to time,Pushing her bosoms on his strong, muscular arms and he didn't even make an effort to steer clear.
"Don't overreact Tara,it's just a girl getting really close to your man.No biggie".I steeled my nerves.A naked guy ran into the room and everyone turned silent for a second.Then,they cheered
"What kind of school is this?".I frowned .The only people I knew here were nowhere to be found.
"Hey".A guy sat next to me."You're Tara,right?".He extended his hand
"Yeah".I took his hand.I wasn't really in the mood for this.
"Cool,this your first time here?".He gulped liquid from his cup.
"Yeah".I nodded still glaring daggers at Cassandra.I didn't know if she noticed my glare or just decided to ignore me.
I had no idea when the guy by my side stood up.He must have been bored out of his mind.
"Can't one thing go my way today?"
The guys had finished their drinking game and were now playing a new one:Truth or dare
"Hell no!"
