Rapidly and with no control, the bodies of Seth and Irene fell to the ground, Seth's body being the first to collide with the floor.
Seth's original plan had been to gently release Irene immediately after he hit the floor, but when he did hit it, this decision wasn't up to him anymore as he carelessly released her from his grip, his body having more important matters to attend to.
