Just my luck, it was raining. My first instinct was to go to John's, but obviously, he was still pissed at me. But I gotta make things right again. He lived a couple of blocks down from my house.
I sprinted as fast as I can, looking back every minute to see if anyone was chasing me. I was running out of breath. The note kept running through my head, over and over again. I was so deep into thought, that I didn't see the car at the end of the street; until it was too late.
....
I can hear voices over my head whispering my name.
Am I in heaven, or is Satan dragging me down to hell?
I began to open my eyes, I was greeted by a bright light. I looked around to see myself in a hospital bed. My mom was sitting next to me and John was on the other side.
"Sweetie, how are you feeling?" My mom asks. I can tell she was crying because her eyes were swelled up, and she had rolled up tissues in her hand.
I looked over at John, he gave me a weak smile.
