Walking deeper into the forest surrounded by the palace. Lucinda secretly followed her old maid, wanting to know what she was doing near her deceased mother's hideout. This hideout was hidden from people. Even her father and sister never knew about this place except her. Now, seeing the old maid coming here, she wanted to know what she came here to do.
"I never thought you'd come so early," A woman in the dark said, which scared Lucinda. She halted in her track as she watched the air blow the woman's hair sideways. The darkness covered her, only her shadow was seen due to the full moon's rays.
"She's growing fast," The Old woman said as she began to peel something off her body
"Did you see her? She's suffering" The woman's voice was heard again and Lucinda was confused. Was her mother alive all his years? And how? She saw her lifeless body. She was buried! Did she come back to life? How?
"I know, but there's nothing I can do. I'm not controlling anything" Lucinda's gaze flew back to the fat woman but not as the fat woman but as a slim woman with long brown hair shining under the ray of the moon. Her mother? Her mother has been her maid all this while? Why? Why is all this happening to her?
"But you can ease her pain"
"I can but that's her fate," The woman said but turned around when she heard a cry behind her. She was shocked to death to see her daughter.
"Lucinda!!" The woman exclaimed, and the other woman in the darkness immediately stood up and came to the light.
"Mom? How could you?" She cried, refusing to hug her or cry in her arms. She has been deceived. Not only that but she has been punished countless times because she was framed for the death of her Mother. Meanwhile, the woman was very much alive, and still, she did nothing about these countless punishments. Why is her life this miserable? Why?
"Don't cry, Lucinda. I'm still the dead person that everyone knows" She tried defending herself, but it all fell on deaf ears.
"I thought you loved me. You have been with me all those years when I've been punished, starved, and mistreated for your death. You did nothing!!! Likewise, you kept watching!! " She yelled as she cried bitterly. The mother she loves.
"I'm sorry, Lucinda. All this I'm doing is for the better. I'm gaining nothing out of your tears. I'm bitter too, but I'm powerless. Not only that, but I can't do anything. You just have to be strong for Mummy, okay?" She held her daughter and hugged her tight.
"I don't have a mother. You are dead. You are dead. You wouldn't hurt me like this. I know, my mother." Lucinda cried.
"Yes, I'm dead. Goodbye" Lucinda woke up from bed with tears. She was drenched with sweat. Panting hard, with tears still rolling out of her eyes, she realized she had a bad dream. This dream was different. This time around, it was the dream about her mother and not about that man haunting her dreams.
But how she got to bed, she couldn't remember. She couldn't remember coming to bed to sleep. Perhaps, was she losing her memory? The thought of her mother being alive struck her again. If her mother were alive, she wouldn't be suffering like this. She was convinced that her mother would do anything to keep her safe.
Looking outside through the parted contains, she saw the moon. Looking closer, she saw the same man again!! The man with red eyes and claws. Turning around to run to her bed, something appeared before her. The man with the black hoodie.
