Vivian got to their house, horn at the gate and it started opening to the left hand side by itself. Vivian drove inside, drove in between the cars parked and she off the car’s engine. She came down from the car, holding the car’s key and going inside.
The security guards and some workers that were outside started greeting her and happy to see her. Since she had got married, she hadn’t come to their house. So, they had missed her and really happy to see her. She replied them with smiles, and entered into the living room.
Nobody was in the living room as she entered; it was just a female jacket that she saw on the chair and everywhere was so silent. She wanted to be going upstairs to meet Maya, while she saw Prey coming out from the kitchen and with a ceramic bowl on her hand, full with different fruits and cut into pieces.
Vivian stopped walking, and walked backward. Prey too stopped walking; eating apple and two of them were looking at each other.
“Hi!” Prey said after few minutes, and with a smiling face.
“Hi, who are you please?” Vivian asked with cool voice, and she was so gentle.
“You must be Vivian; your father has told me about you. My name is Prey, your stepmother” she replied with gentle voice and keeps smiling.
“I shouldn’t be the one introducing myself to you, but since you asked I have to” Vivian was just looking at her and didn’t utter a word.
“You look more beautiful than the picture. You and Maya are such beautiful ladies, and I am jealous of your beauties”
“Huu! You are beautiful as well” Vivian said with low voice and smiled.
“Oh! I am really happy to hear that from an awesome girl like you” Prey smiled, and staring at Vivian.
“I am so happy to meet you Vivian; I will love to have you as my friend and a stepdaughter”
“Same here, and nice to meet you” Vivian said and smiling. Prey put the bowl in her hand down on the table, walked closer to Vivian and hugged each other.
“What the hell is going on here?” Maya asked with loud voice. Vivian and Prey separated from each other, and faced Maya.
“Sister, what is the meaning of that? What is the relationship between you and this girl called herself Prey? What is the relationship that makes you to start hugging each other?” Maya said loudly.
“Calm down Maya, just trying to be friend with your sister and I have been trying to do with you. I am a free person, and I mean no harm—“She was talking when Maya cut her off.
“Sister, let me see you. Let’s see, now” Maya said out of anger, and going to the second living room. Vivian excused herself from Prey and followed Maya.
Two of them entered into the second living room, and Maya closed the door. She walked to the front, and faced her sister.
“I called you that father brought an unknown person into the house that you should come and let’s chase her away. But what did you do, I met two of you hugging each other” Maya said loudly.
“The lady is nice, and she looks so calm. So I don’t think we should have problem with her” Vivian said.
“That is how they act, she is a gold-digger. They will want to be drawing people closer and pretend like a good person. She is gold-digger, and she can’t stay here”
“She is a nice and a free person. Even nothing wrong for father to remarry after ten years, and I don’t see anything wrong in that girl” Vivian said with cool voice.
“Oh! Really, you don’t see anything wrong in a gold-digger that father brought to the house. A girl of her age got married to our father, and you don’t know that it’s because of his wealth” Maya said.
“It doesn’t mean that a girl like her got married to a middle age man like father because of wealth. She can loved him, and not because of wealth” Maya looked at Vivian as she said so.
“I can see how it’s successfully for father to force you into an arrange marriage” Maya said with loud voice, and frowning her face.
“What did you mean by that?” Vivian asked and changed her look.
“You are so weak and easy to play with, sister” Maya said out of anger. Vivian calm down, and didn’t say anything.
“You always use to trust people, and think everyone is good minded like you”
“But you have to be positive sometimes; she can be different from those girls. You don’t know, and you can’t say” Vivian said with loud voice.
“I know, and that is why I keep saying. That girl is a gold-digger and have to leave this house—“ Maya was talking when the door opened, and Prey entered.
“Hey girls, hope no problem? You are really shouting like you are fighting, what could that be?” Prey said with gentle voice.
“How is that your business? Why is it difficult for you to mind your business?” Maya said with loud voice.
“Please, get out and leave” Maya shouted and like fire wanted to come out from her eye. Prey apologized, left the room and closed the door.
“You are too harsh on her, it’s not good!” Vivian said, and leaving the living room. Maya followed her, and looking so angry.
As two of them came down to the main living room, they met their father on seat and with Prey sitting beside him and eating fruits together. Vivian started greeting their father, and with smiles on her face.
Maya passed beside her, and wanted to be going upstairs when their father called her back.
“I have known that she will call you. But well, two of you have your seat” Vivian sat down on the chair opposite to their father and looking at him. Maya was standing and didn’t bother to sit.
“Let me do the proper thing and which is right. Here is my new wife, we got married two weeks ago and that is the reason why I travelled”
“Already known, suddenly suspicious travel” Maya said, and frowning her face.
“Her name is Prey, and I don’t know if you have met her Vivian?” Their father asked.
“Yes Daddy, I met her as I entered and she approached me well” their father looked at Prey as Vivian said so, and he smiled.
“But father, how long has it be going on?” Vivian asked.
“Its two years now that we have been dating, so I decided to marry her now” he replied.
“Two years is a long years, and you don’t tell us. You didn’t tell us about her or even let us know that you want to remarry. You just brought in her like that” Vivian said.
“Nothing is there if you want to remarry but you should let us know. As she knows us, we too should have supposed to know her. It’s shouldn’t be like this” Maya was just beating her right feet on the floor and looking at her sister with annoying face.
“I am sorry for that, apology. Also I decided to do it like this, because I don’t know how you girls will feel about it and your reactions. It’s that reaction that Maya has showed me as we arrived” their father said.
“Sorry about that Daddy, its okay and its fine” Vivian said with smiles.
“You said you have met each other, do you like her?” Their father asked.
“I think I will like her, because she is nice---“
“That is stupid reply, sorry to say sister” Vivian was talking while Maya said with anger.
“Daddy, you can’t bring this gold-digger into our house. You have to send her out and let her go back to where she is coming from before she ruins your life, father---“
“Watch your mouth young lady, and what is wrong with you?” Their father shouted at her.
“It’s will better you listen to me, and send this gold-digger out before you regret it, father” Maya said with loud voice and faced Prey at where she was sitting.
“You don’t have stay here, if you think you can capture me together with them that mean you are joking. I won’t allow you to ruin this family, you this GOLD-DIGGER!” Maya said in a threaten voice and walked out of them.
