Liam rode beside Rosaline on the outskirts of Ruby as they began their journey to the capital of the Fire Kingdom.
"Are you comfortable?" asks Liam, glancing at Rosaline.
Rosaline pats the side of her horse. "Yes, as comfortable as possible."
They laugh together.
Liam fills the morning with conversation starters. He gets to know more about Rosaline; she is an exciting person. They pass along crops in fields and houses together. By evening, they decided it is wise to rest in the next town over.
Glancing at his map, Liam sees they are near the artisan town called Vera. As the sunset turns bright pink and orange, they arrive. Vera has many business establishments and homes. Asking a bystander, they make their way into an inn. Their horses stay at the stables outside with food, water, and a place to sleep.
Liam opens the door for Rosaline of the inn. They enter the small front desk area with the worker; Liam steps into the light, making their arrival known.
