Damian went to answer the door and was surprised to see Jannet there! She was his neighbor, so maybe she was there asking for something?
That was the first thing that came to Damian's mind, but then he noticed she had something on her hands, "uh, excuse me, Damian. Sorry to bother you, but I made this pie and wanted to give it to you!"
With her pretty face and soft black hair, Jannet was there, with a pie in her hands, sharing it with Damian.
"Why is she giving me this? I don't remember today being anything special."
Damian stood there silent for a few seconds, trying to remember what that could be. He recalled everything that had happened the past week, and one thing popped into his mind: Jannet's husband was away!
He had heard her husband would leave on a work trip that day, and Jannet was already there, bringing a pie to him. Anyone with at least some intelligence would understand the meaning behind that!
