Ye Kai couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the detailed drawing that Rong Ying had made. His lips curved into a gentle smile and he carefully shook her shoulder to wake her.
He watched her eyes flutter open, and a kind smile spread across his face. "Breakfast is ready, my love," he said softly, "Why don't you go wash up, and join us downstairs?"
"And, those drawing are great, bring them to show mother," Ye Kai said, he kissed her cheek before he left the room.
Rong Ying slowly woke up and unconsciously she touched her cheeks and remembered the Ye Kai words, she looked at her drawing and a barely perceptible smile tugged at her lips.
As she swung her legs down from the bed with a groan, sunlight streamed in through the window, and illuminated dust particles danced in the air. She rubbed at her puffy eyes, shuffled to the bathroom, and splashed water on her face. She lingered for a moment, staring at herself in the mirror.
