"I forgot to put our puppy on a leash," Angello said, getting out of the Van along with Jake as Ramon tried to get Jimeno out of his little brother.
"Enough! You are on a timeout! Stand back" successfully he pushed him back by his waist, as Teo sat on the ground.
The short blonde male winced, "Hey! Lemme go big man! I just missed my soulmate"
Angello spoke locking the Van doors, "One you didn't care to throw into the sea"
Jimeno groaned trying to break free from Ramon's dead grip, "It was an accident! I was drunk and–"
Teo stood up, defending his friend, "Let him go, bro. It was an accident. I'm fine, that's what matters"
He reached for his friend's hand smiling, giving them a slight squeeze searching for mercy into his brother's tough gaze, "I forgive him. May you too? Please?"
Ramon let go of the squirming short blonde male, letting out a sigh still frowning, "I'll let it slide this time. But I won't forget it" he threatened walking away into a communal house.
Angello patted Teo's back and smacked Jimeno's head who winced as answer, Jake walking into the house following Ramon, leaving the two blondes at the door.
Jimeno apologized profusely, guilt eating him alive, "I'm so sorry, buddy. I swear I didn't mean to–"
Teo lifted a hand up in the air, a kind smile covering his face almost appeasing his friend's guilty conscience, "I said I forgive you. Let's forget about that"
"I wasn't thinking straight, I was mad at that dude and then you"
"Shhh! I'm here, it was wrong from you, but we are all good"
"Why isn't the dude here?" the shorter male asked, intrigued to know what happened with him.
"It's a long story, but first off, where is my phone?" Teo asked knowing only his best friend knew where he kept his device.
He handed him over the device with a questioning gaze, "Here. Why do you want it now?"
Teo smiled, tapping onto the screen which picked up at his friend's curiosity, "Lemme see… here. Just give me a minute. Let's talk when my brother goes to sleep. I have a lot to tell ya, you wouldn't believe it"
Jimeno nodded, now knowing there was so much tea awaiting later on, even tho his curiosity was taking over he had to be patient.
Teo typed something to the number he got a call from, naming him as: "My lost sea" soon sending a message which Josh received when he was taking a picture from the sunset on their way back to land.
He smiled to himself when he saw the username: @myoneandonly.
He opened as soon as he was done with the picture reading its content which said: -I just arrived home. I'll bell you when the coast is clear.
He chuckled seeing how cute he sounded even through text, he just typed back: -Will be waiting with a glass of wine. It's a date-
He answered by attaching the 15 pictures he took by the time he was done the small fishing boat reached the coast.
Teo smiled, eyes sparkling when he got Josh's reply, his unique boxy smile taking over as he couldn't help but laugh at the older's suggestion.
Soon a bunch of pictures arrived and he muted his device when his best friend eyed him suspiciously, however he couldn't hide the excitement from showing on his face for a brief moment when he scrolled through Josh's pictures holding different kinds of fish.
"Bro, who got you smiling like that?" His friend asked genuinely intrigued as he saw him biting his lip.
Teo tore his eyes away from his eyes, "I'll tell ya later. Let's get inside it's getting colder"
Jimeno snorted when Teo spun around to get into the house he followed suit tailing at his heels, "That's why your face is so red? Let's make sure you don't catch a cold"
Teo sulked a bit when he replied back a bit ashamed trying to hide the heat taking over his face, "Haha, so funny. Let's get in before hyung comes to beat you up"
Jimeno shivered as a cold ran down his back, reminiscing the strong grip the taller brunette got on him, almost crushing him in half when he pulled him away from his best friend.
"Don't joke about that, bro. He's truly scary when mad. I didn't know he could lash out like that. I felt my whole body going into the abysm"
Teo walked towards his bedroom with his friend looking around warily who was seeking if Ramon were nearby, causing him to chuckle when he reached the doorknob.
"Stop being a chicken little. He wouldn't beat you. He's still a gentleman"
"Did you forget I'm a man too? I don't think the 'gentleman card' applies to me" The shorter male whined when Teo pushed the door open.
"He doesn't like to destroy nature nor cute and small creatures, consequently you're safe" stepping inside his bedroom as his friend knitted his eyebrows.
"I'm not small! Can't you see I'm tall!" Jimeno growled, walking into the room, stretching out his back as straight as possible to reach at least Teo's height causing the latter to burst out in a laugher fit.
"You won't grow taller, bud. Just let it be" he spoke, chuckling as Jimeno smacked his arm whining.
"How cruel! You're my bestie! You're supposed to cheer me up and support me"
Teo walked toward the small cushion in his bedroom, shaking his head at his friend's wailing filled the small space.
"Friends are supposed to tell one the truth not matter how painful it can be"
He saw how his soulmate sat across from him on the other seat, crossing his legs as he did.
"Mean! Anyhow, we are alone now so spill the beans" he wiggled his eyebrows staring at Teo who looked at him with wide puppy eyes.
He pouted as he spoke, sulking a little, "I don't know what you mean"
"C'mon! Tell me why those eyes sparkled when your mobile went off? You arrived way too quiet, more than usual and after you got your device your face brightened up. You can fool anyone but me, silly. Out with it already" he said in a single breath, really eager to know what Teo was hiding from him.
Teo bit his lower lip considering if it was prudent to talk now, he went to the door, did a quick look outside to see if someone was around, finding no one nearby he came inside again, sitting next to his friend, his heart racing within his rib cages as he was trying to get the right words outside his mouth.
Jimeno put a hand on his trembling one, he didn't even know he was shaking a little, "You must promise to not tell a soul. If someone finds out I'll know it's because of you"
The shorter male lifted his pinky, grinning brightly, "Trust me. I will take your secret with me until my last breath"
Teo entwined his pinky with his best friend's sealing the pact, "Do you remember the guy who jumped after I fell into the sea?"
Jimeno nodded still guilty as scenes of that night played into his mind like flashes of light, "yeah… the jerk, what about him?"
Teo defended him, frowning, "he's not a jerk! Well, not that much. Anyway, he um.. he and I–"
"No… hang in there, bro! You don't mean.. Gimme your phone" the shorter male cut his friend off suspecting where it was leading to.
Teo huddled up away from his friend, "Nope! This is private!"
"I've seen your device a thousand times, is he the one who texted you?"
Teo stayed silent, confirming his friend's suspicious, "That's the answer I wanted"
"You must promise to not tell to anyone"
"Did you know his mother sued your brother because he went missing?"
Teo looked down guessing that much, "No exactly. Well, kinda suspected that much"
"That woman is berserk! Not to deny she's closed minded, I don't think she would approve this"
Teo's hopes crushed down at his friend's words, "..." becoming quiet again.
Jimeno patted his back as the supportive friend he is, "I didn't mean to make you sad, buddy…"
"You're right, I should have thought about that before agreeing– pushing my luck so much"
His defeated tone along with his pouty self gave an insight of his inner self.
His best friend held him into his arms, rubbing his back trying to cheer him up.
"Let's not get down, first of all, tell me, what did he tell ya?"
"He said he wanted it to be an open relationship, without ties or such"
"What sort of excuse does he give you to do that?"
"What he needed to solve some matters at hand and getting a project moving"
Jimeno listened to everything Teo told him from the moment Josh rescued him till the moment they bid each other farewell.
