Kira threw himself onto his bed and lay there while taking a breath which he then exhaled with relief. He was exhausted after spending the day out of town alone for the first time.
It was true that Kira went home with the others, but he was only by himself when he went to another city that he had never visited.
Kira used to walk around the city with his parents, but... he didn't have that kind of time anymore knowing his parents were getting older. He preferred to focus on his studies or find a part-time job to lessen his parents' burden.
During middle school, he always turned down his friends' invitations for some fun like going to the mall, karaoke or anything else that wasted his time.
Kira didn't even remember the last time he had fun with someone.
And his parents knew what was happening to Kira and of course it made them anxious. Kira was rarely seen smiling in the house, and only spent time reading some books.
It might not seem like a bad thing at first, but having a connection with friends was something that gave the parents peace of mind, even if they were worried about how the friendship would turn out.
However, if their child doesn't have friends, it will make parents worry more about whether their child is being bullied or no one wants to be friends with them.
Just like what Kira's parents, Akarui and Kirei, have always experienced. Akarui, Kira's father was always worried when he saw Kira's expression which was always flat.
Not to forget Kirei who always wanted to know about his son's school life. But when she saw Kira's expression, Kirei always withdrew her words and tried not to interfere with her own child's life even though she originally wanted to listen to him.
But they didn't know what happened to Kira, since recently Akarui and Kirei often saw new expressions from Kira such as long sighs, or annoyed when looking at his smartphone, even smiling when bringing the smartphone speaker closer to Kira's own ear.
Even so, her mother still did not want to pry into his life. Just before Kira entered his room, his mother asked him, "Honey... Did you have some fun?"
"Well, sort of." His answer sounded very simple and cold. However, the expression on Kira's face could not lie to his own parents. Because even his own mother had never seen such an adorable expression.
Back to Kira, he listened to Suta's voice message many times. How many times? Even Kira himself forgot to count because of how many times he repeated it over and over again.
Because when he heard it, somehow Suta's sweet and gentle voice warmed his heart and also calmed Kira's tired body which was lying on the bed.
He then pressed and saw Suta's contact, embarrassedly he also saw Suta's profile picture. In the photo, Suta was seen smiling and giving a peaceful pose towards the camera. Her teeth were very clearly visible because of the width of Suta's smile, and just by seeing this, Kira's heart was already racing.
Once again he took a deep breath and got up from his bed. He realized it was not his time to have fun, Suta was just a classmate who happened to ask for his help.
Considering that Suta had such a cheerful and carefree nature, Kira was sure that Suta could ask for help from anyone and not necessarily him.
Therefore, he better put everything aside and focus on helping Suta. Even though it was almost late at night, Kira turned on his computer and immediately sat down in front of his computer.
Right, he had to focus on helping her. So Kira opened the page and searched for a video where he could try to learn about warm-ups, flexibility, choreography, dance combos, the power released when moving, and not only about dance, Kira also learned about musical scales, voice control and breath control for beginners.
Maybe over time he might improve and become someone Suta could rely on because for now he could only watch her and admire her without helping her much.
'Then why would I be her manager if I can't even help her'
He then found a video that could help him learn to dance first. Looking at the video, he saw dance moves for a beginner. It was the hip hop dance that was on the rise in the world of dance, where they choreographed to the hip hop song itself and matched it to the beat of the song.
Of course for beginners it was very difficult because Kira had to practice warming up first. But since it was late at night, Kira attempted to do so silently.
Kira was not someone who had a flexible or athletic body, so he had a hard time warming up.
"Maybe... It's better if I ask Suta for help in the future. Let's learn how to sing first" He walked back to his monitor and learned something new.
Scales. For beginners, they were very hard to distinguish. Kira did not know how to distinguish them because he heard the same thing over and over again. "Do? Re? What's the difference? Just the letters?"
He tried to understand the difference from the sound but still despite spending a long time, he couldn't hear the difference.
Give up? Was it time for him to give up? Maybe he wasn't that talented at it. Well, maybe it was time for him just to help Suta with the schedule.
However, just as he wanted to lie down on his bed again, he saw a notification from his smartphone.
Suta: 'Good evening, Manager! I apparently don't have a schedule for singing practice tomorrow because my coach is sick. So, tomorrow you can just rest, you must be tired right?'
Seeing the message, Kira had mixed feelings.
Overthinking is a common thing for an introvert. And even more so if they had just met someone life-changing, they would be afraid of being replaced. At first, Kira seemed indifferent to it but when he read the message from Suta,
"Will... one day, she replace me?" He muttered.
And in that instant, he felt that he did not want to be replaced by Suta. Hence returned to sitting in front of his monitor after he replied to Suta's message.
Kira: 'I will try my hardest. So you can rest easy'
Yes, Kira wasn't planning to stop and give up. Because he knew that everyone who was born without talent could overcome it with hard work. "It's all for Hoshi's sake"
However, on the other hand... Suta just looked at Kira's message with a tilt of his head, " Manager is being weird again."
