Chereads / I'm the billionaire's fiancée / Chapter 10 - Engagement Agreement

Chapter 10 - Engagement Agreement

Everyone turned their gazes to me. There was surprise, there was doubt, there was anger, and there was Dominic Arnold's teasing look.

Right now, I felt how right it was to tear the check and throw it in his face. He is truly a trouble maker. I bet he knew I was his fiancée, that's why he was teasing me like that.

"Are you mistaken? I don't remember we ever met. I guess you must have mistaken me for someone else." I tried to smile wryly and replied to him.

"No. I remember very well. I saw you lying there, and then..."

"Wait... wait."

I can't believe he actually told us about our one-night stand. This man doesn't seem shy at all. I'm seriously questioning the "Cold and Scary Dominic Arnold" rumor. They should call him "Crazy and shameless Dominic Arnold".

"Um, Dominic, don't tell me you're going to tell everyone?" I tried tactfully reminding him.

"Why not?"

"That's embarrassing." I stressed the fact that.

"Oh yeah. It's a bit embarrassing for you, indeed. You fell right in front of my car." Dominic laughed and patted his forehead.

"Huh?" I'm dumbfounded. It seems that what he said and what I am thinking about is not the same.

"The first time we met was when you were crossing the street and accidentally fell right in front of my car. Maybe you didn't see me because I was inside the car."

Memories flooded back, I immediately remembered the man with cold eyes staring at me at that time. Turns out, he was Dominic Arnold. However, Dominic deliberately spoke indistinctly and misled me. I almost mentioned a one-night stand.

"Oh, it looks like you two really get along pretty well."

Mr. Donald smiled. He knew his son's personality very well, and the woman who made Dominic comfortable talking like that must have been the woman Dominic was interested in.

Kaylin felt things weren't going the way she expected, so she surreptitiously nudged her father with her elbow to remind him.

"Well, shouldn't we save time by discussing engagement?" Mr. Curtis spoke up. "Esther, what do you think?"

I was a little startled and turned to look at my father. He was also looking at me with an urge in his eyes.

"I don't agree with the engagement."

After hearing what I said, Kaylin let out a sigh of relief, her expression also becoming much more relaxed.

"Tell me the reason." Dominic said. He leaned back slightly in his chair, his demeanor completely different from when he was laughing. His aura is full of majesty and dignified, unconsciously making everyone listen and do as he says.

"Because I have a boyfriend."

"Is he better than me?"

"No."

"Then your reason is not accepted."

"What?" I was really shocked. I can't understand this man's mindset.

"Young Master Dominic Arnold, I think my daughter doesn't want to..."

"Mr Curtis, I'm speaking to Lady Esther, please don't interrupt."

My father was embarrassed and kept silent. He must have been feeling extremely frightened when Dominic glared at him.

"Esther, I think you need some time to think." Dominic suddenly stood up and held out his hand to me. "I heard that Joan's house has a beautiful royal garden, can Miss Esther take me to see it? In the meantime, you can rethink your engagement."

"Mr. Dominic, my sister has never been to Joan's mansion, I'm worried that she can't take you anywhere. Instead, allow me to help you." Kaylin finally couldn't sit still anymore, she stood up and looked at Dominic with gentle eyes.

"No, thank you Lady Kaylin. I want to spend time with Lady Esther."

Before I could say anything, Dominic took my hand and left. I glanced over at Kaylin and saw her biting her red lips.

This reminds me of the first time I met Kaylin. I was like a dirty and silly girl, and Kaylin was like a cute and beautiful princess. Everyone thought Kaylin was a lovely child, however, when there was no one around, she revealed her true nature. She used to scold me for being a bastard and dirty child, forbidding me not to go near her.

Kaylin's habit of biting her lips when angry seems to be the same as before.

I was dragged out into the garden by Dominic and stood behind a large tree.

"What are you going to do?" I frowned at him and asked.

"Listen, I'll be frank. You don't deserve to be my wife. However, for some reason, I need you to be my fiancé temporarily for a while."

"Huh? What do you mean? Make it clear."

"Well, I won't reveal your fiancée's identity to anyone. Only the relatives in the Arnold and Joan families know. After I get what I want, you and I are done. You can be happy with your boyfriend and we're not involved anymore." Dominic put his hands in his pockets, looked at me and said.

"That's all? But, what do I gain from this?"

"Your father seems to be putting a lot of pressure on you lately, doesn't he?"

I looked at him silently instead of answering. With the immense power Dominic wielded, it was too easy for him to look up anyone's information. If someone told me Dominic knew the FBI, I'd probably believe them too.

"I will help your mother at the hospital, instead, you will become my fiancé for three months. Of course, after three months our relationship will be over."

His offer was so tempting that I couldn't refuse.

"But… Dominic, that's not my only problem. My father also annoys me because I keep all the Joan's inheritance."

After I finished, Dominic's cigarette lighter movement stopped short. He stares at me for a few seconds, then takes a puff of his cigarette. The smoke he exhaled into my face made me cough.

"Hmm, if I help you one more time, you have to do one more thing for me."

"Okay." I agree immediately. I almost didn't need to think much, because I was really stuck, Dominic was like my only hope.

"Become my mistress. Your only duty is to lie on the bed and open these beautiful legs whenever I ask. Anyway, the only thing that interests me about you is your body."

As he spoke, he leaned closer to my ear. The masculine scent of mint perfume mixed with the smell of tobacco made me unconscious.

It must be admitted that this man is absolutely attractive to any woman. Like it or not, I involuntarily compare my boyfriend to Dominic. Appearance, personality, power and money... Dominic is more than anything. Perhaps, there are not many men on this planet who can compare with him.

"Have you made a decision yet?" Dominic extinguished his cigarette.

"I... I agree."
