Are you sure we will eat here?
The question was held only in her throat after her eyes toured the surroundings. How came? Glara was in a restaurant, although not the one in the hotel, had a nice place. It was close to the museum, which she had just visited with Cassie and Wyatt. And they were the ones who invited her to lunch there.
Actually, she did not mind eating at the restaurant. What she meant was an ordinary restaurant like she met around her apartment. Not the place she visited now. This was one level higher beyond them.
She was not used to visiting a similar restaurant, especially with a foreign menu. Not to mention the price listed in the menu book. She clearly would prefer fast food restaurants which more friendly for her budget and flavors that she believed were more acceptable to her taste.
"What happened?" Cassie asked once she turned around and found a strange expression on Glara's face. She sat next to her while Wyatt took the seat precisely in front of Glara.
Glara swallowed her saliva before giving a shake in an answer. And she was about to reply to her and said there was no problem when suddenly Cassie cut her.
"Sorry, I need to go to the toilet."
After that, Cassie got up from her chair and left them just like that. And it caused awkwardness in silence. Everything was obviously seen when the cheerful one wasn't around.
Well, Glara was not an expert in interacting with men. She counted only a few times she replied to his words throughout their spending time together. And it seemed Wyatt was a quiet type, so it made her even more challenging to start a chat. Ah, how did she do it if she didn't know what to say?
She ventured to glance at him. Instantly the nervousness hit her as her eyes met his green beads. And she could do nothing besides quickly shifting her gaze on anything other than him. She felt like a cat caught stealing fish.
To be honest, there was something she wanted to ask. It was about his figure that didn't look so strange to her. She recognized him as a man she had seen at the airport. His green eyes raised her assumptions. And the smell of fresh and soothing scent, which occasionally came along their journey, increasingly strengthened her guess. Like now, when her heart was pounding wildly, the smell suddenly appeared and began to relieve her nervousness.
But how would she ask?
"We met before." His heavy voice broke the silence between them.
It was true. Glara saw him at the airport. What a coincidence.
"That's you at the airport, right?" Glara still asked, even though the answer was clear. Yeah, she still needed to make sure that she wasn't wrong. Who knew, they only had similar faces because, for her, who hadn't even passed twenty-four hours in London, people here looked the same.
Then, a big smile engraved on his face as he said, "Yes, I saw you at the airport. I've never thought we would meet again."
And it answered her curiosity the previous day about who he was staring at. It turned out, indeed, to her. Her hands were automatically lifted to touch her cheeks once she realized the new possibilities. Was there something wrong with her face to catch his attention? She didn't think about that scenario before.
"What happened?"
Somehow Wyatt and Cassie always responded to her every reaction. Either her only feelings or reality was like that. They were watching her. Strangely, she was not afraid at all, though the alarm should be alerted inside her mind.
Again, Glara gave them a shake for each similar question from him and Cassie. "I just remembered something." It was not a lie, was it? She really thought of something that might have embarrassed her at their first meeting.
"What's that?"
His question surprised her a little. Glara thought Wyatt would let it go instead of scratching her thoughts about it. Was that because they were discussing their previous meeting?
"That's not about yesterday," she lied. She couldn't tell Wyatt about it, right? Also, it was not a significant matter. At least for her. "Or, yes. You look different from before." But, in the end, she chose to express her thought though it wasn't really true.
Okay. Glara also thought about that. Wyatt, whom she saw yesterday, had a distinct style. He wore a formal suit, complete with his blazer. It gave the impression of a busy businessman with a solid schedule. While this day, he looked relaxed by wearing shorts, a shirt fitting his body, and sandals. It was two contrasting appearances, even though both could not hide his good looks and body.
Nice body?
Yes, Glara could see the sturdy muscle in his arms. She guaranteed that he had a good body shape like a model or actor she usually watched in the drama. Unfortunately, that thought brought warmth to her cheeks. But she did not dare to react because it would get questions like before. So, what she could do was slowly breathe deeply to calm her wild thought.
"Yes, I had work yesterday."
"Work? Cassie said you're here to attend your cousin's wedding." She said it with a frown on her forehead. As she recalled, Cassie had only discussed their cousin's wedding as well as the holidays behind them being in London.
"Yes, for Cassie. But for me, it was also a work matter. I had some meetings to attend."
Glara nodded at hearing that. Apparently, her guess was correct again. The Wyatt she saw yesterday was a busy man.
"And you? Do you come here alone to watch the concert?" Wyatt asked back. He had heard her reason for coming to London. It was about The Rotary's concert a few weeks later.
"Yeah. But I won't see the concert alone. My best friend will come and join me."
Who else was she referring to besides Tatiana? She was the only friend who understood her the most till her favorite band. That was because The Rotary was also Tatiana's favorite band. So, they planned to watch the concert and share the fun together. That would be so much fun.
"She doesn't live here?"
"No. She lives in Spain, so-" Glara hung her words on purpose because there was no need for a continuation. It was apparent, wasn't it?
So, why didn't she come to Spain to meet her?
She had that plan. But, later, after she was satisfied on vacation alone in England. She wanted to use this opportunity to challenge herself across a foreign land alone.
"What if I join you?"
Glara turned around, slightly surprised to hear that. "You mean you and Cassie?" She didn't know why her lips let that question out. In her mind, Wyatt was a complete package with Cassie. Or she hoped so.
"No, me alone. But if Cassie agrees, we can go together. How about that?"
"Yeah, sure," she answered without a second thought. What for? She couldn't possibly refuse. Who was she had the right to stop someone from seeing a concert? As long as they bought a ticket, anyone could watch The Rotary. Also, the show was not a private thing. She actually could get to meet other fans. And who knew Wyatt and Cassie would be one of them?
Hence, she agreed. She could count that as adding new friends on her new journey. Perhaps it could last long as her relationship with Tatiana and her family. Their relationship also started with a small encounter. She had never expected them to play such an essential role in her life. And no one could predict the future regarding her new relationship with Wyatt and Cassie. So, she would maintain it well as long as they did the same.
"But you have to buy your ticket," Glara added, sharing important information. Watching a concert required a ticket, right?
"Sure. Show me the link."
