Chapter 21 - Jotunheim Part 3

Thor, like an eagle, gripped the Olympian's head in a deadly grip, rushing toward the enormous rock. The powerful discharges relentlessly inflicted incredible pain on the Olympian, tearing his muscles apart under high tension. Haemon was simply defenseless against such pressure, since he had never before fought a lord on its own turf. Speed, strength, power, regardless of the aspect, he was inferior to him in everything. A worm in the hands of a mad child.

That's impossible, release us out! The voices in the barbarian's head wouldn't stop screaming, they wanted to draw blood so badly, the lust for revenge awakened again, trying to subdue the Olympian. But he could not let that happen, not now, not now! To let his anger consume his mind again was to be out of control again. To give control in the hands of dark desires that know no mercy to anyone. And whether the creature was an enemy or a friend they would try to kill it. Suppressing the darkness within him, the warrior concentrated all his energies on recovering his head. Thereby boosting his recovery ability many times over.

And the moment it partially regenerated, he strained his throat ligaments to the limit and took aim at the prince, shouting madly, creating a devastating wave.

Throwing the Olympian into the woods, Thor grabbed his ears as trying to recover. Haemon quickly summoned snakes to soften his landing and prevent any more trauma that would take precious time. The snakes formed a ball of meat, protecting their father from all threats and allowing him to recover a little. Having landed and in doing so ripped all the snakes apart, the barbarian stood up in alert, realizing that the enemy had long since come to their senses and there was no more time. Rumble and then as if by magic clap appeared Thor in all his glory.

A wicked smile shone on the redhead's face, evidently he was still uncomfortable with what had happened. "Olympian, you really pissed me off! Who knew old men like to resort to such low tricks nowadays!" Spitting, Odinson pounced on the Olympian. Fists covered in destructive lightning came down on him, eager to crush his bones. "Not to a child killer to tell me about honor!" Blocking several blows while clawing at the ground. Haemon spewed a powerful wave of black flame from his mouth. The Asgardian, sensing the threat, quickly summoned a wind to drive the fire away. The air currents redirected the flames' heat from the warrior into the sky, allowing him to swiftly strike at the barbarian from behind. The flame flashed and the loyal dog of his father appeared beside Haemon.

The Olympian didn't have time to react and a huge shock of electricity hit him in the back, sending it flying to the nearest tree. Thor did not intend to give his foe a moment's respite, so as soon as the barbarian's body touched the bark of the tree, he immediately struck it with his foot, intending to tear off its head. The tree was torn in half by the shock wave, but the head on the Olympian's shoulders remained intact. In front of the warrior's face, a cracked shield protruded from a small hole in the dimension. "How?" exclaimed Thor in astonishment, looking at the shield that had stopped his blow.

But he couldn't think about it any longer as swords appeared out of nowhere, piercing the ground like harpoons trying to hit the Thunderlord. Haemon summoned many of his children to his aid, eager to finish off the swift madman. The creatures couldn't even reach the warrior, his incredible overwhelming aura woven of lightning simply ripping their bodies apart, blue sparks like dragons eating the snakes before they could ascend. Celestial weapons also had no effect, for it was nearly impossible to hit a target that would vanish, leaving only a mirage behind. As for the fire, it was neutralized by the wind, which simply redirected it back into its owner.

Rage boiled up inside both of them! Each of them wanted to tear each other to pieces, to finish off the disgusting bastard! But something held them both back? Something that made the warriors' strength be used only to a certain extent. The only difference was that while one was uncontrollable rage, with the other it was excitement. Thor truly wanted to feel the full power of the Olympian! He wanted to see what he could do, to see for himself why his father feared them so much. "Is that all you can do Olympian?" Shouted the prince while summoning multiple bolts of lightning from the heavens. The attack came down on the hunter's head, destroying even the shield woven of pure darkness with its power. He felt a multitude of red-hot needles plunge into his flesh, tearing it apart at the same time. Not even Zeus had caused as much pain as Thor. His eyes burst under the strain, leaving the wearer in utter darkness. Haemon couldn't go on like this, or eventually the rage would take its toll, and then those he cared about might die. Realizing that he should use what he has, Haemon staggered to his feet and clawed at his back, ripping his skin free of his wings. The enormous wings immediately soared into the sky, quickly eluding the deadly storm clouds.

Once above the clouds, the barbarian ripped open his arm, releasing the scarlet nectar to create a spear. Grabbing what might be his only chance at victory, the warrior prepared to face the mad giant-killer. He didn't have to wait long, the thunder lord instantly appeared in front of the Olympian. His face burned with an insane grin, his whole body glowing with blue sparks. Even the very space around him could not withstand the power and began to crack at the seams. "'What's the final thought of enjoying the view?" Thor muttered, pulling out his hammer. As soon as his hand touched the weapon, Haemon felt mortal danger. But there was nowhere to run before, and did he want to? Thor didn't know his opponent had a very dangerous trump card up his sleeve! Hehe-he, if the Olympian could only play his cards right, victory might be just around the corner. All he had to do was hit it once!

"Ha-ha, ha-ha!" Haemon clutched his stomach and began to laugh loudly, his eyes full of pity stared at Aser as if he were a brat begging for mercy, while kneeling in front of the king. "What are you laughing so hard at, degenerate?" The prince asked irritably, clutching his hammer tighter, the sparks of his lightning gradually beginning to take on a whitish hue. A flame of hatred flashed in his eyes. For how could it be? Even after such a humiliating defeat, this brat dared to mock him! On the son of Odin himself! The one who slaughtered giants and other lords in the most bloodthirsty way! The one who crushed Jotunheim!? Madness began to completely engulf the prince's mind, causing him to surrender his hunger completely. His eyes began to look more like two burning torches than flesh. Muscles and veins swelled all over his body, and with that, his temperature plummeted. His true nature slowly began to take over!

"You know I never thought I'd have to fight a lowlife like you! Ha-ha, oh even Tartarus doesn't have such a pathetic worm craving attention from his father. What, Daddy got mad at Mommy for liking bigger men? And that's why you decided to satisfy him in this way by exterminating your own kind? Ha-ha you're so pathetic" There wasn't even an ounce of arrogance in Haemon's eyes, just a cold emptiness. And that only made it worse, as it felt like he was telling the truth.

"I'll unleash your guts!" Thor whispered, bowing his head and taking a deep breath, then lunged at his foe like an enraged bull, intent on finishing with a single blow. The black flash collided with the blue flash, creating a mighty wave of destructive force that changed the sky itself, splitting it in two! The thunder roared through the world of the living, leaving memories of that day in their minds, the day darkness clashed with thunder. Leaving its hideous imprint in the sky forever as a serpent struck by lightning.

"I said I'll release your intestines!" The thunderer whispered in the ear of the half torn barbarian with his guts hanging out of his stomach. "Kha! Yeah said but I don't care little puppy, because I won!" Haemon calmly replied, spitting blood all over the madman's face. "Pre-mortem nonsense!?" Bowing his head, Thor raised his hammer for the finishing blow, but was immediately stopped by black chains engulfed in green flame. The chains shackled the barbarian, dragging him to the ground, the prince gnashed his teeth at this and instantly followed them. There in the ruined forest shone a portal leading to some dark dimension from which cries of pain could be heard.

By the portal stood a tall woman in black robes, her hair like the wings of a raven. While her eyes were dead rather than alive, but in them burned a kind of green light, making it clear that the woman was not completely dead. Her face, though beautiful, was very thin, and looked like something reminiscent of a skeleton. There were also a number of abrasions and scars from which a kind of green pus dripped. Her body was very attractive to a man's eye. It had the right proportions in certain places, and even her dark attire could not hide the muscles and beautiful flesh that lurked behind them.

The woman stroked the hair of the chained Olympian, while simultaneously smiling devilishly as she looked up at the sky. "'Hel! How dare you interfere in the affairs of Asgard! A brat like you should hide in your dark world, and pray only that the All-Father doesn't give the order to bring your head!" With every word from the prince's mouth, a bolt of lightning struck the earth, wreaking havoc. He was shaking with rage all over, his hands wanted to clench in a lock near the woman's throat and hear the crunch. "Oh, have I really interfered in the affairs of our little thunder prince himself! Forgive me, my lord, but I am afraid I am unable to quench your worthless thirst the way your wife quenches it. If you do not understand my words, then I can use your beloved pig tongue. But I am afraid I have not practiced it for a long time, for my visits to the golden palace are not so frequent. And I may not be able to explain anything to you" Her voice was full of power and tenderness at the same time, somehow managing to combine the features of an angel and a demon. With one hand she continued to stroke the hunter's head, and with the other she covered her mouth in a kind of sympathy for the prince.

Thor appeared right in front of her face and stared straight into her eyes and hissed: "Give it to me! Otherwise I will come to your kingdom and leave no stone unturned" The woman was not frightened in the slightest, but turned away for a moment, and then smiled wickedly and calmly replied: "I'm afraid the answer is no, fatty! And you'd better see a healer since you're bleeding like a pig in a slaughterhouse" Her long fingers pointed to the prince's right side, from where a fragment of red spear was sticking out, drenched in blood. "How is that possible?" The prince shouted angrily, pulling the weapon from his body. "Now if you don't mind your highness, I must leave you, since business does not wait!" Waving goodbye the woman headed for the portal leading her new pet behind her. "I'm not done with you!" Shouted Thor intending to grab the barbarian, but the circle of green flame that appeared around him prevented him from doing so by pushing back. "I'd love to stay and play your mommy with you, but I'm afraid my brother is more insistent on meeting with you than I am! So farewell prince" Pointing behind the thunderer's back, Hel disappeared with the Olympian in a flash of fire.
