These past few days, they both seemed to be operating in different time zones. Typically, Luo Ying would greet Lu Zhao in the morning, but Lu Zhao would be too preoccupied with work to respond until lunchtime.
Oftentimes, Lu Zhao would be in meetings until midnight, long after Luo Ying had finished filming for the day and sent her evening greetings.
"Sea City is embarking on a brand-new municipal construction endeavor." Lu Zhao rubbed his forehead. It was obvious that his recent hectic schedule had worn him out. The skin under his eyes was a pale shade of bluish-black.
It was a major real estate development for the Luya Group this year, and a massive investment in the city.
The Luya Group wasn't the only company interested in the site, though. All of the hopeful bidders were similarly sized international corporations to the Luya Group. As a result, Lu Zhao faced considerable competition.
