Luo Ying went into the master bedroom to investigate. The bed was empty. There was no sign of Lu Zhao.
She hurriedly walked downstairs again. Halfway down the stairs, she noticed Lu Zhao bending down in the kitchen to pick up something. It appeared to be a shard of glass.
"Don't pick it up!" Luo Ying exclaimed as she walked.
When Lu Zhao heard the voice, he raised his head. "I'm sorry for disturbing you. I was just trying to drink some water when I dropped my cup."
"Are you sober?" Luo Ying walked to the kitchen and asked.
Even though his head still hurt and he was dizzy, Lu Zhao replied, "Yes, I am. You're awake."
He was not the type to forget what he had just done after a few drinks. Everything that had just occurred was still fresh in his mind.
It was incredibly stupid, but Luo Ying actually returned.
Lu Zhao was at a loss as to how to assess his two subordinates and himself.
