The woman's body gave off a faint, familiar scent of jasmine.
Sirius felt something tugging away at his heartstrings. From the bottom of his heart came a bitterness that was impossible to describe, and his heart ached.
"I miss you so much." Su Su reached out and put her arms around Sirius' neck. Tears were already flooding her eyes.
"I won't let you leave me." Sirius hugged Su Su.
For a moment, he felt completely powerless.
Su Su had lost a lot of weight from when he last saw her. Her cheeks were hollow, and he almost felt as if he was holding a sack of bones.
Su Su seemed to have been through a lot over the years.
"I'm to blame for this. I let my arrogance get the better of me. I shouldn't have abandoned you. I'm sorry." Sirius lowered his head.
The past had always been a chasm between them that they couldn't cross.
