Boom!
Eight minutes.
Du Ze turned to the bystanders who pointed their weapons at him.
"All wo-Ugh!"
Boom!
All everyone saw was a black streak that crashed into Du Ze and sent him flying in the other direction. He stamped his foot down and left a long trail before slowing down to a complete stop.
His clawed hand was wrapped around a spear made of black flames that had streaks of black lightning coursing through it. It burned Du Ze's hand and turned into a ball of black flame and a wisp of black lightning. A deep hole near his abdomen had been made by the spear formed by the Primordial Chaos Dragon Flame and the Primordial Chaos Tyrant Lightning.
Sheng Tian emerged from a pile of fallen trees and both flame and lightning flew into his sleeve.
Six minutes.
The surrounding area, the trees, ground, grass, everything touched by Du Ze's dark aura withered and darkened. If looks can kill, Sheng Tian would have died ten times over because Du Ze currently looked utterly terrifying.
The wound was slowly closed up by dark tendrils and stood out like a tumor.
Four minutes.
Sheng Tian readied his qi and pulled out his dragon scales again though he didn't attack. Instead, Dragon's Might erupted from him and completely suppressed Du Ze. He was put to his knees and struggled fiercely under the bloodline suppression.
"You... Bastard!... How!"
His eyes bulged and veins burst as he tried to get up on his feet. Sheng Tian stayed silent and raised his sword over his head. He had a solemn expression and his face became increasingly pale. His cultivation base is not enough to freely use Dragon's Might yet. Sheng Tian gathered his qi and stored it in his sword, ready to be unleashed at any time.
Three minutes... two minutes... one minute...
"Argh!"
Du Ze met Sheng Tian's Dragon's Might with his own meager one. This allowed him to get to his feet in time for him to see a huge fifty meter tall red and blue sword descend upon him.
"Heavenly Asura Sword Slash"
Booooom!
Sheng Tian dashed towards the teleportation circle that was starting to light up with a pale face. The technique he just used was something he created by fusing two of the strongest sword techniques he found in the sect, the Heaven Splitting Strike and the Asura Sword Strike.
An absolutely terrifying technique that consumed all his qi and reached the level of a Origin ranked technique.
Despite this, he knew that Du Ze was not dead after witnessing his regeneration capabilities. The best course of action right now is to lock him in the secret realm, forever.
Sheng Tian reached the teleportation circle and turned back to look at Du Ze. A half destroyed body with severed limbs that were slowly reattaching themselves. Du Ze shot him a look of utter hatred.
"Sheng Tian! I swear that as long as I am alive, I will hunt you down! We can't exist under the same sky any longer!"
Sheng Tian replied with a sneer "Well aren't you lucky, we will soon be under two different skies so you don't have to worry about that. As for hunting me down? You should first try to get out of here"
"Cough!"
Du Ze spat out a mouthful of blood and launched a long ranged attack at them. Luckily, they were quite some distance away and allowed Bing Xue and Xiao Hua to blast the attack away from the teleportation circle.
Sheng Tian waved in the air "I hope you enjoy your stay!"
Then they disappeared, not hearing the angry roar that followed after.
-
The old generation gathered around the teleportation circle. Some had solemn faces, some were excited, and others were cold, expressionless. The Xia Empire's envoy stood in the air with his hands clasped behind his back.
The once still teleportation circle suddenly shone with a soft blue light. It subsided to reveal the remaining survivors of the secret realm. A huge clamor broke out when they saw that a great majority of the survivors were humans.
"Heavens!"
"There must have been a slaughter"
"How!?"
"This is bad"
A lot of the half-bloods had dark expressions on their faces especially when they saw Du Ze missing from the group of survivors. A man who looked like an older version of Du Ze stepped forward.
"Scheming human race! You dare band together to slaughter my son and the geniuses of the Xuan Beasts!?"
Boom!
"Scheming? Tsk! A mere hybrid dares to yell at his ancestors. I think you deserve a medal for your acting instead"
It all happened in an instant where Sheng Tian sent the man flying in the air with a vicious slap. The old generation's jaws hung agape and Sheng Tian worried their old crooked teeth might fall out.
""Bastard!""
A majority of the half-bloods drew their weapons and unleashed their aura. Solid, tempered cultivation bases erupted and pressed towards Sheng Tian but he merely snorted and directly unleashed his own aura.
"Enough!"
A stern voice prevented anyone from attacking. The envoy descended from the skies and stopped in front of Sheng Tian.
"Explain what happened in the secret realm. What happened to the majority of the Xuan Beasts?"
What Sheng Tian did next shocked everyone here and made the old generation curse him for his shamelessness. He fell to his knees and tears dripped down from his face. His act couldn't get any more fake as they saw him act perfectly fine before. This instantaneous switch was so fast that even Celestials would be impressed.
"Please give our human race justice sir!"
He continued to weep while the envoy had a dark look on his face. The politics of cultivators in reality involve only two things. Strength and thick skin. Well, thick skin is the only thing you really need.
"Calm down and explain," he asked again.
Sheng Tian pointed at the half-bloods that had gathered near Du Ze's father, the current patriarch of the Golden Sky Eagles, Du Zheng.
"These beasts conspired to use the geniuses of the human race as sacrifices to some unholy ritual! We've suffered such huge losses due to it!"
He decided to take things to a whole other level.
"Every single one of them were like brothers and sisters to me! These murderers slaughtered them left and right with cold, merciless strikes!"
Du Zheng stood and leaned on another patriarch for support.
"You lying fucker! You clearly suffered little injuries and even less casualties! What bullshit is that?!"
He continued to banter while the survivors simply looked on with a stupid look on their face. The heroic picture they painted inside their minds had been ruined by what they saw today.
"Damn, we're from different sects. I didn't know we were this close before"
"Yeah, plus we didn't take many casualties when compared to the half-bloods"
Xiao Hua turned to Bing Xue.
"Why do I feel that he is more shrewd than those old geezers?"
