As the freshman start their first day at the Xavier school of business, they are filled with hopes for college life and their careers. It is exciting to see the most popular group of five having fame and a fan following in college based on their personalities and talents.
Jake Ford is the captain of the college soccer team and is well-known for his charm and popularity. Aaron, the most talented vice-captain, arrived in their car at the college. When the girls in the college saw them together, they marveled at their handsomeness, which was eye candy.
Some of the girls congratulated them by giving them flowers for winning the soccer match yesterday. Jake and Aaron took the flowers as their token of appreciation and thanked them in return.
Mark Steward was one of the famous five in the college for his handsomeness, flirty personality, and arrogance, and sit on the bench in the college yard teasing the new students in the college.
Jake and Aaron reached Mark, put their flowers aside, and settled with them after giving a high five.
Mark congratulated Jake and Aaron for winning the soccer match yesterday against the St. Prius college of engineering, "You guys were awesome yesterday."
Aaron replied, "It's all team effort. They gave us tough competition. In the end, we made it."
Jane was the only girl among the famous five, the beauty queen of the college, and the men's dream girl with the perfect features as a model. But she is as cold as ice and is never interested in anyone other than Jake.
Jane approached them with her girl's gang of three and congratulated them, "Congratulations." Jake nodded as well. She joined them to sit next to Jake.
Jake was busy on his phone, scrolling his social media account and reading the comments from his fans.
Aaron was engaged in texting his girlfriend, asking her, "Where are you?"
She replied with a text, "I'm on my way."
Aaron texted back, "I miss you." To which he got a reply, "I miss you too."
Meanwhile, Mark noticed for a long, Jake was changed and was not interested in girls. Mostly, girls try to hang out with him and dare not to ask him in front of Jane, as she never allowed anyone to get near him. Importantly, Jake has never been serious about anyone.
Mark teased Jake, "Have you lost your charm?" Jake ignored him.
Jane asked Mark, turning her gaze at him, "Why do you say so?"
Mark had a sarcastic smile and replied gazing at Jake, "Recently, you've not been into any girl and were being reserved by yourself. Is everything okay, bro?"
The way Mark said those words hurt Jake's ego and warned him, "Before speaking to me, know your limits." to which Mark had an annoying smile on his face.
Jane defended Jake by saying, "He is not interested in flirting with a girl. It does mean he lost his charm. Everyone knows that no one girl dares to say no to him."
Jane continued, "Perhaps, you might be envious of him for Jake getting everyone's attention in the college?"
Jane's words hit straight on him, and Mark's smirk turned into frowning.
Mark said to Jane, glaring at her, "Do you think I'm jealous of him? Maybe you forgot. Darren was at the top among the five of us. He was remarkable in every aspect. Jake was always behind him, and he can't beat him in any field."
Aaron was concerned about Jake because of Mark's arrogance. Jake was quietly listening to him without saying a word.
Jane defends Jake, saying, "Darren graduated from college and left. Now, Jake was at the top."
Mark insisted, "Fine. Let's have a bet."
Mark challenged Jake, "If he proves before us, proposing the girl enters first through the college entrance and walked towards you. If, she agrees to become your girlfriend, at least for one day. I accept and help Jake with the work at the soccer field. If he can't, he must accept that he has always been second to Darren."
Jake is neither interested in being the best in the college nor envious of Darren, but he can't accept that he is lesser than Darren in any aspect.
Aaron opposed Mark's idea, saying, "It's not a good idea."
The previous Jake would not take any challenge easily until he gets successful. But this time, he was quiet, thinking Aaron was right. 'Even if I was the old one, it wasn't necessary to prove myself to others. I'm fine the way I'm now.'
Jake answered Mark after thinking a lot, "I don't need to prove anyone." Aaron relaxed after hearing Jake was not interested in Mark's challenge.
Jane agreed with Mark's challenge on behalf of Jake and tried to persuade Jake with her. Somewhere, Jake couldn't take his insult from Mark, who was jealous of Jake, getting more attention in the college recently by proving himself as the most talented among them.
Finally, Jake accepted Mark's challenge to show him as he was always on high and never lost to anyone, not in soccer matches or any challenge. In his mind, Jake decides to apologize to her after she accepts him in front of them.
Aaron asked Jake, "Are you going to do this? You don't need to."
Jake replied, "I'll apologize to her later."
Everyone was anxiously looking at the entrance, who would enter first, and approached Jake, who was standing in the way.
