"Whaaat?" Samantha, who COINCIDENTALLY happened to be there, spouted in disbelief, widening her eyes like jill balls. "What's that all about? One minute you say you wanna be her best friend and the other minute you say you like her. Really, Sofia!? Are you, by any chance, playing with her feelings?"
Thea gulped nervously. Truly speaking, wasn't she the one who was playing with the male protagonists' feelings?
Sofia bit her fingernails, looking pissed. "Hey, Samantha, were you eavesdropping on us all this time?"
Samantha huffed, looking away. "Why would I? I heard it by mistake but I'm glad I heard your bullshit! Thea is my best friend, okay? Did you hear me? She's my bestie, my BFF. Find some other best friend if you're so desperate. But don't you dare snatch Thea away from me!"
Then she gave Thea a displeased gaze. "I never thought that you can betray me like this, Thea." She sounded hurt as well as heartbroken.
