Sofia took one of her uniforms out of the wardrobe and was about to put it on when her mother came to her room and exclaimed, "Hey, are you crazy, Sofie? Why are you gonna wear your uniform? It's Saturday!"
"Mom!" Sofia cried. "Why did you barge in even without knocking, ha? Can't you see that I'm still not finished wearing my clothes right now?"
Mrs Rosebush rolled her eyes, annoyed.
"You father-daughter duo only know how to yell at me! I'm depressed. I don't wanna live with you guys anymore."
Sofia's hands, which were about to put down her uniform, froze midway. She widened her eyes in shock before turning to her mother face-to-face.
"Mom, what are you saying? Did you argue with dad again?"
"As usual." Mrs Rosebush blurted out. Her eyes turned red as she sobbed.
"This marriage, this family is so toxic. I don't want it anymore! I had had enough! I deserve better!"
Sofia sighed, shaking her head.
