Chapter 37 - Sia suicide case.

Is it luck or fate, judging by the encounters that occur frequently in the world of the living. That is why the future beyond everyone is always so erratic that no one can see or predict it.

On the other hand, fate is the trickstar that lights up the future despite its bleakness. And only someone who can predict the fate will be able to predict the right future.

"Huh, alright, but can we talk about it in the restaurant?" Feng Lin nodded at Sister Ning as he drove toward the restaurant closest to them, knowing that Sister Ning had helped him in the past and is now proving to be even more helpful.

So, he was preparing to treat her to the best dish he could at the moment.

At the same time, he felt compelled to thank the girl who had always pushed him back, allowing him to grab everything he could until this day. That includes the method that made him a marketing powerhouse to begin with.

After parking, Feng Lin walked out to extend an invitation to his sister Ning, who was acting like her old self once again by grabbing his hand as she stepped out of the car.

"Thanks, the car sure is amazing; it was really comfortable to sit inside it."

Even if Feng had lived forever, he still wouldn't have been able to afford a car like this, but now he could ride it and invite others to do the same.

"Yes, but I hope you are not yet to satisfied, as I had booked a special dish for both of us."

Ning remembered that Feng Lin had a conversation with someone while driving, but she had been so preoccupied with the car's interior that she had not paid much attention to their conversation.

As Feng braggingly talked about the dish, she recalled the experience and reflected on that particular aspect of her past.

So, while she was still able to tease Feng about it, the two of them headed toward the restaurant gate, which was empty at the moment but usually got busy within the hour.

Welcome!!!

A waiter came over to them and asked Feng Lin politely if he had a reservation or if he would like to make one as he approached the counter.

"Balcony floor 002, the reserved area in the name of Feng Ling, I guess." He wasn't sure if Feng Lin's name or Lin's name was on the connection's reservation list, given that Feng Lin had requested it from Elder Huang's side.

The waiter was about to lose his composure when he recalled the warning from higher-ups about a certain Master Feng.

He had not expected the man who could be tonight's most important visitor to arrive so soon.

"May I ask, sir, if we can use Master Feng's name as well, given that we made an arrangement with the elder of the chief hotel?" Feng nodded, realizing that Old Man Huang frequently refers to him as Master Feng.

It's not too shocking, considering old man Huang could have reserved Master Feng's name to book the restaurant room.

"Our master has given us an order to get ready, so if you would kindly come this way to one of the restaurant's finest private dining rooms, I would greatly appreciate it."

It was a balcony room, filled with tables and seats. However, such rooms are typically only open at specific times and have a limited number of seats that can be occupied on a daily basis.

"Please also convey my gratitude to the chief; I owe a great deal to him for giving me the opportunity to enjoy the chance to eat in his eatery." Feng Lin returned the gesture and looked at Ning, who was perplexed by everything but didn't know what to say to Feng.

After all, just eating in the regular seat was a huge burden for her, and it appeared that the boy in front of him had used his connections to reserve the table at this posh restaurant.

"If you had taken advantage of the opportunity to bring your girlfriend along, she would have been overjoyed." When Feng pulled the chair and gestured for Ning to sit in a very gentlemanly fashion, she smiled.

"Right now, I am trying to treat my sister Ning, and my girlfriend had nothing to do with this." He walked to sit in front of her with a smile, and as he looked at the waiter, who nodded and placed the menu down, he just wanted to order more of the special dish.

After all, Feng Lin's training sessions truly exhausted him, and he had to put himself on a massive diet after becoming an inner master.

"Plus, because it's called "spirit wine" and the herbs in it have a moisturizing effect on the skin, the wine I brought would definitely like your tongue."

He reached in, clicked, and pulled the bottle out from the side, where the scent wafted out upon opening the cap and captivated both Ning and the waiter standing next to him.

"This must be an expensive wine, right? Feng, I'm not going to drink something like this." When Ning saw the waiter's stunned expression, she began to suspect that the spirit wine must be an expensive wine, as the waiter beside them was astounded as well.

"Okay then, what a pity I might have to throw it out then." Feng spoke with a serious expression, at which Ning instinctively grabbed his hand. She shook her head and flushed when she realized she had grabbed Feng Lin's hand.

"You're bullying me like this," she grumbled as she looked at him.

"Yeah, right." While Ning shook her head and marveled at how this aspect of Feng Lin's personality has remained unchanged, Feng Lin nodded and smiled cheekily.

Even though it's one of the things that gives him away as the big brother, it's also a sweet and simple aspect of the guy that has never failed to soothe her weary soul.

After the food arrived, Feng Lin turned to face the waiter and smiled, asking him to excuse them for a private conversation. Feng uses his hearing and eyes to determine if the man is still around, and then he inquires of Sister Ning concerning Sia.

"If you trust me, Sister Ning, and tell me about the girl whose name is Sia, I promise that nothing bad will happen to you."

Sia was feeling apprehensive, but after hearing Feng Lin, she decided to put her faith in him and answer Feng's question.

After all, the youngster had made good on his promise and his expression of self-assurance.

"Sia was my student; she was really beautiful, but she was an alien who had lost her parent, and her identity was a little complicated because she was half of our origin."

Given that Chinese in this world is associated with Republican dialect. And the continent was divided into five major countries, with Asia brimming with diverse cultures.

There are numerous examples of people who are born with different skin tones and appearances and are treated as outsiders.

Since this was the case, finding another person with Sia's looks was not difficult, barring the possibility that the person was born into a wealthy family. The chances of them being treated coldly is quite high.

"But that girl was really stubborn and cheerful, which made the neighbor look at her differently and gain trust in her kind." Ning had that silly smile on her face as she remembered the girl's warm look up until that point.

Ning's mood soured as she recalled the following: "Her beauty was like sunshine, and obviously there was a long line of admirers who had courted her." "That naive young woman, on the other hand, always turned down their advances and treated them more like friends."

Convincing all of her rejects' that she wasn't completely cutting them off and instead just wanted to focus on her studies (a half-truth on her part).

To be continued...
