Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Arc 1

Five days passed by and the whole mansion has been quiet. In the mansion gate, four uninvited guests were standing outside in different attires.

"Sir, may I ask who you are."

The bald headed man who belongs to a group including a kid and a woman was frowning and a bit polite at this time.

"Oh.. a guard, my identity is none of your business."

The man who was the fourth visitor was very casual and looked cold at this time. He was without company but was dressed decently, the cold and unapproachable aura surrounding him tells that he is not one to bully.

" But you, you look like you forced this two people to be dragged here. Are you sure you belong to this mansion?"

A cold and righteous light filled his eyes as he scanned this group of people. The little boy about 12 years old was hugging her mother tightly with an unwilling look in his eyes.

While the mother was holding the head of his son very protectively but has the expression of despair and weariness. Of course this woman is none other than Linda that was abused to distress by Daren.

Judging from body language, it says a lot that they clearly looked unwilling to be in this place.

The bald man was out of the picture with a relaxed and stern look on his face as he was alert at not letting both run away.

"Sir, I'm sorry if you're a guest or so, but this.. does not intend to interest you. I'm sorry I can't fill you in with the details."

There was no pressure at answering like this to a possibly important guest. He can't possibly say that the young lady brought the illegitimate child of his father and his mistress in the mansion and let it spread outside, right?

This stubborn answer made Simon raise a brow. A guard nowadays can be so rude to a guest like this. He saw that the place lacked discipline. This made him annoyed. Anyway, if he becomes the master of this place, he should be strict when teaching manners to the guards in the future, like a real retired commander.

This might be a presumptuous idea, but since a child, his father instilled him the idea that he will own this place too one day.

He wasn't practically wrong as the 'fiancee' s parents are very patriarchal and planned to pass it on him instead, but it is morally wrong.

It sounded like when the parents of somebody dies, instead of that child they own, he get to have everything. Therefore, if you sounded a bit ambitious, it's just saying the faster the ones to die, the earlier your ascend to the title of the palace master.

At the same time, the people who was guarding the gate let them enter after confirmation. Of course, aside from Simon who was blocked by them.

Frowning, he asked them:

"What's the problem, don't you know me now?"

"I'm sorry sir, we can not allow you to enter. The young miss also did not identify you much. We are really sorry but we can't send you inside."

With a bit of disdain but still polite, one guard said this as he scanned him from up and down.

Upon hearing this, Simon looked confused and annoyed.

What's the matter with this lady, with how patriarchal her parents are, wouldn't they mention their marriage contract to her countless times by now?

Of course he also inquired about her as well. She was bad-tempered and very impatient according to rumors.

He sneered, is this person scared that the property will fall in his hands. What was she scared of? Unlike her who was bad-tempered and impatient, he was capable and might even rise the luck of the company.

Nevertheless, this was his fiancee. He can't speak badly about it. But it is undeniable that first impressions are always important. With this, he already branded this 'fiancee' as someone raised crooked.

Shaking his head, he left in order to not embarrass himself any longer. He would not bother to say his identity, it would be a surprise and he would still see if those people have an expression of disdain any longer. It won't be far off in the future.

While having this thoughts, he left and decided to settle down reluctantly with his old friend's abode.

-----

Meanwhile, inside the mansion was the fiancee that was raised crooked. She was sitting leisurely at the couch. The booklet containing countless clothes design was by her hand as she scanned them.

She picked a red pen and casually circled good ones and put X marks on some that made her hate. It was yellow dresses.

The maid by her side also informed her after getting the call from the people below.

"Miss, the man who came left."

Hearing this, she stopped for a moment. She put down the pen and booklet by tbe side. And turned her head, smiling lazily at the person.

"I wasn't asking."

The head maid was also startled. Quickly, she also made a reply.

"I see, then I will not inform the miss of these trivial things in the future."

"No, no. It would be great if you only give me major information and ignore the minor one. But, you should continue doing that. After all, sometimes the minor details actually make up more importance than the bigger ones."

"Yes... I understand miss."

At the same time, the three guests also came upstairs by now. The guard leaded the two people to come closer to her.

"Miss, I brought the people here."

"I see. Go down."

The smiling miss stunned the guard for a while. The lady seems to always be in a good mood these days and was no longer very impatient. On the contrary, she smiles a lot.

He nodded politely, and left.

Upon seeing the two people, she smiled brightly and told them to sit down.

Although reluctant, they are already in her place, what will happen if they disobey her now. Leading her son, Linda also sat up still holding her son protectively.

The head maid looked at this and understand already who won the debate discussed a few days ago.

She left understandingly under the guise of preparing tea. Stefanie was satisfied upon seeing this, and decided to raise her salary later.

"You must be tired after preparing father and mother's funeral. I understand so I decided to reward you."

The woman was wary upon hearing this and held her son tightly with a harsh and more protective look in her eyes.

"Actually, giving you about a year to ponder your decisions might be tiring for you. So I actually sent you a better option to get this over with."

"To force us and let me give up my son to you. No way! You're a beast!! Who knows what you'll do to my son."

This hysterical appearance made her laugh a little.

"You're mistaken. As someone loyal to father and mother all this time, I think that your house is too small. Why don't you live with me instead?"

" And an additional fact is, your child is my brother, I possibly can't let my brother live penniless and live in such a small house."

"Haha! You're so generous now. Our house might be small in your eyes, but it never lacked anything. Unlike your uselessly big house, it had everything but lacked a single important thing, a family's affection!!"

Upon saying this, she realized something.

" Hahh! You're finally showing your true colors! Is that why you want to get my son? Because you're jealous? My son had your father's love. But you?! You didn't have it! Your mother and father's at the same time. So you want my son, to torture him and sbow him that even when he have it, you had more, your wealth? Wake up! With how patriarchal your parents are, they would really give their property to you. "

She was breathing and huffing tired as she said all this. And after a while, she suddenly fainted. The boy, anxious and panicky was shaking her.

" Mom! Mom! "

Stefanie smiled looking at this show.

" What a tragedy. Your mind can make up more thoughts than reality."

She laughed and had a maid come to support and call a doctor for the fainted woman.

The boy wanted to follow but was halted by Stefanie. He tried to ignore it but she stood up and carried him and sat her up in her lap.

She hugged him well and secured.
