Darkness
Utter darkness
Absolutely nothing in sight. It wasn't due to the fact the whole space was empty or maybe it was. Arsh had no way to confirm it anyway.
Finding himself in silent darkness, Arsh felt his body drifting around inside the chasm of it. The darkness surrounding everything, his body too, or was there any body present to surround anyway? Arsh had no way to know that either.
'What is this place? Where is mom? Edward? Alan? Elsa?
Where is everyone?'
Arsh was standing all alone in somber isolation. Nobody answered him. Nobody heard him. Nobody existed around him. A place that only had a never-ending abyss of darkness encompassing around
It had nothing in its truest sense. True nothingness. A void or better called an abyss, where only nothing existed.
Arsh didn't know if he was standing, sitting, or even incorporeal. He was in the middle of the abyss or perhaps to its side.
Letting his hazy thoughts out a little. Arsh thought the situation through again, to make any kind of sense of what he was seeing right now.
"Oh yeah….I was falling down into that valley with that three-headed monster"
"So what the hell happened to me? What now? Am I dead? Is this the underworld? I don't see any reapers around"
Arsh tried to feel his body again, but he wasn't able to see, feel, smell or hear anything. Every single one of his senses was shut off or maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was that there was nothing to see, hear, feel or smell present there around him.
Making his consciousness compelled to stare at the only thing present around him. The darkness in front of him. Gaze into the massive abyss and embrace it.
The darkness felt enticing, barren, and mysterious. And strangely enough, it was as if the darkness was a part of himself. Something he was made of, but at the same time he wasn't.
The darkness expanded in every direction, never-ending in any single of them. He didn't know if he even had eyes to see the end of darkness or if it was all just nothing.
He remembered being in the abyss for a few seconds before, in between the fight with the millennium. But, it was just for a moment, a few seconds in fact. In comparison to that time, it now felt like an eternity.
Last time he also had the company of that mysterious voice, who presented itself to him seemingly out of nowhere.
Arsh had no time to think about the voice before when he was fighting for his life against that disaster. But, now standing in a place beyond the realm of existence, he had plenty of time. But It was still questionable to him, whether he was standing or not.
For a few minutes? Hours? Days? He had no way to know. He was thinking about the voice that had appeared in his head thoroughly. Trying to make any connection, wild theory regarding it then debunking it himself as impossible.
But, after some time repeating the same thing, Arsh just gave up. It served no purpose anyway. Instead, Arsh stared deep into the abyss of the enticing darkness, letting himself float through it.
Completely forgetting about his purpose, reason, and life. It all didn't matter now. It was silent, away from every pain and suffering regardless.
"....."
Arsh silently peered into the darkness with no thoughts occupying his mind whatsoever. He had given up on thoughts already. He was just looking into the ever-remaining darkness, to find something, anything.
Something he didn't know about. But Something precious to him, at the same time. Something so dear to him, he was willing to forget about everything but that.
< You should stop that for now...If you don't want to go insane that is>
Arsh's eyes darted back and forth, startled by the sudden voice looming into the darkness. He looked around the abyss to find the source of it. But as obvious as it was, he found nothing again.
There was still no sign of anything or any living thing anywhere inside the darkness around him.
'Did I imagine that?'
He was not sure if he imagined it or not. If he didn't imagine it, where did it come from then? His paranoia went up and armed at the sudden interruption of the same voice again.
He looked around like a maniac, trying to turn his head searching in every direction for the source of the voice. But, After doing the same for a few hours? days? He completely gave up on the senses that were telling him, he heard a voice.
Arsh again went silent and stared into the abyss of darkness surrounding him.
<...You are one strange human>
The voice once again rang again into the abyss of darkness. But this time around Arsh didn't bother looking for it. Instead, he tried to calm down, before asking in a muffled voice.
"Who are you? And where are we?"
The voice hummed for some time, Arsh could hear it doing it inside his head. He was sure it was the same voice who interrupted him in between the battle with that terrible disaster.
<...At my home, I guess. Sorry about the delay from my side, I welcome you inside this paradise of nothingness, Arsh.>
It felt like the whole abyss had turned itself around, the moment the voice completed its sentence.
Arsh could feel his body again now, even though he still couldn't see it. Both of his arms, legs, and everything, he could touch and feel everything now.
The first thing Arsh did was try to take his daggers out. As a defensive measure against the somber voice. But, it wasn't there, in fact, it wasn't there at all. However much he found it, it never appeared.
<.....You should chill out for a second. You can't use your daggers here anyway. They weren't bound to your soul.>
Wide-eyed Arsh turned around in every direction, trying to find any kind of trace of the owner of the voice around him.
"What are you? How do you know about my name?"
The voice replied with amusement, the little chuckle echoing inside of Arsh's head.
".....It doesn't matter. Just tell me who you are?"
Arsh had a feeling about the voice. A strange connected feeling, to the unidentified voice of the abyss. As though he knew it dearly himself.
Arsh's expression turned strange. It was just getting weirder with every passing moment. The voice didn't give him any sensible answer to ponder on.
'....But, how did he know my feelings anyway?'
Arsh thought to himself silently. The voice was clearly hiding the connection between them by giving abstract answers.
The voice went silent, waiting for Arsh to finish the sentence for him. But, the answer never came. Instead, Arsh looked past the darkness, only confusion etched on his face.
<.....Because we are connected to each other, doofus. And you better believe me when I say I didn't want it either>
Arsh had predicted the answer from a mile away. But what really confused him was. Why? Why the hell are they connected? Who was the voice and what was its purpose?
But, before Arsh could ask any meaningful questions. The voice cut him off, urgency dripping from its voice.
< Well our time is up anyway. Now, It is time for you to wake up 'Child of the unknown'. Oh! But for that, you also have to sleep first.>
Arsh had several questions to ask. But, No voice came out at all. It was as if his mouth had disappeared in thin air again. The silently roaming darkness twisted again, a little pathway of light passing through it.
The voice faded again and Arsh felt himself detached from the dark place. His consciousness once again drifted solemnly all around, as the dark abyss surrounding him slowly faded away.
Finding himself drifting into an unknown space, Arsh slowly opened his eyes. But this time it was much more bright and beautiful.
The space he was in now was the complete opposite of the last time. This time, there was only light everywhere illuminating everything inside the space. Almost a little too much.
Arsh moved his hands quickly. Trying to feel his full body in this new space, where it was visible. He reached out for his face with his hand and found every part of his body attached.
The blinding light also faded away as Arsh felt sharp pain following through his whole body. He felt as much pain as a relief. To have his senses returned to him.
Arsh felt a cold wind blowing on his body, as he opened his eyes slowly after what felt like a true eternity.
