As Zhong Peng made his way toward the cave, a feeling of unease settled in his chest. His heart was pounding so loudly that he was sure anyone within a few feet of him would be able to hear it.
The previous cave he had ventured into had left him with a deep-seated fear of such places. The memory of that experience was still fresh in his mind, and he couldn't shake off the feeling of dread that had taken hold of him.
Despite his fear, Zhong Peng knew that he had to face his demons and conquer his fears. He was aware that if it wasn't for the fact that night was already approaching, he would have never dared to enter another cave.
However, he knew that he had no choice but to push through his fear and face whatever lay ahead.
As he approached the cave, Zhong Peng moved forward silently and carefully. He didn't know what awaited him inside the cave, and the uncertainty made him even more cautious.
