Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Strange series of events 2

"Whatever, as long as you don't have to be in the same class as… um,… it's okay…." Helen slurred again, showing a sharp attitude towards Selena. Selena looked down and didn't mean anything to Helen's piercing voice.

"Hey Helen, that's enough, son." Uncle Gideon warned his daughter with a slight growl.

"But people still go to school like here in London, don't they, Selena?" Derek wondered, he didn't mean to poke fun at Selena, but Derek was a curious, carefree boy who rarely thought carefully about his words. Although it sounded like it was mocking Selena for not being adequately educated like the smiling Dorisa thought.

"London still has schools; children everywhere have the right to school." Selena shrugged; she didn't think Derek would ask her such an obvious question.

"Then why don't you stay in London and stay here?" Dorisa starts to blame each time Selena says something.

"I'm afraid both Selena and I are housemates, Dory," Alexandre spoke and didn't bother to look up to the children's surprise. Little Dorisa showed an embarrassed expression as she bit her lower lip. Frozen Alexandre, this time also opened her mouth to help a newcomer girl, and that was probably the first Selena-related sentence that she uttered since noon until now, Selena remembers correctly. Uncle Alexandre doesn't talk much, but it seems that every time he speaks his words, he always shows a strong understanding and inevitably becomes the centre of attention, which he doesn't like very much. But that must be the reason why people always find him strangely respectful.

"Are there any shops there, Selena?" The eldest brother Helios continued to raise his curiosity about that place called "London".

"Yes. I see there are many big shops in the seaside streets; it's the same in London." Selena said with the bright eyes of an excited child.

"Catinat Street? That street is the busiest in this area." Helios seemed proud and interested in Catinat Street.

"Maybe we should take Selena for a walk on Catinat Street someday?" Uncle Gideon looked at them and suggested.

"That's interesting. You'll see the dancing spirit seals of fat aunts arguing in the ocean. That's funny." Derek is quick, saying with a laugh, "Hey Alex, do you remember that?" Derek elbowed Alexandre in the biceps when he saw his silence.

"Yes, remember." Uncle Alex raised his thick, sharp eyebrows, looking disinterested.

Selena just thinks Alexandre doesn't like her the same way as Dorisa or Helen, and she doesn't understand the so-called "sacred seal" that Helios and Derek are talking about.

"Hey, let's try to perform Helios." Dorisa lifted her face provocatively at Helios sitting across from her.

"Don't make fun of me; I just finished my freshman year." Being teased by Dorisa, Helios, who was honourable, scratched his forehead with his hand. The look on Selena's face was dumbfounded again.

"I think your seal is a mouse, Helios!" Her sister Helen teased her brother to Derek and Dorisa's crackling laughter. Helen seems to enjoy talking about topics Selena doesn't know; she likes the way the conversation deliberately treats Selena as invisible, and she seems to be gloating when she sees Selena's blank expression.

"I think your spiritual seals are two goldfish." Helios, feeling embarrassed, kicked and teased the twins. Selena doesn't understand; she doesn't even know if we're teasing or talking about her or not.

"Did your aunt tell you about the Seal, Selene… Um… Selena?" Uncle Gideon asked him with a loud voice, his eyes still looking at the plate of beef under the table.

"Yes… No…" Selena felt ashamed and embarrassed, somewhat lost.

Uncle Gideon stopped his elegant meat cutting; he looked up at it with a sombre and solemn expression: "So do you know anything about Guardians and Death?"

"I… I think I heard Mr Althelstan mention… yesterday, sir." Selena stammered, she didn't think this was so important that it made Gideon's face go cold, and his eyebrows didn't want to touch each other.

Uncle Gideon said in a deep and solemn voice: "The blood of the Bellatores runs through your veins, our family of War Gods, of two races. As you know, the Guardian God clan and the Death God clan. The Guardian Warriors will be tasked with protecting humanity from rebellious demons. Make sure clean souls reach Heaven. The Warriors of Death will capture evil spirits and gather evil demons and send them to hell for punishment." Gideon interrupted, pausing a few beats to give his poor nephew time to digest the new concept.

"Yes… Master Althelstan has talked about them, sir." Selena nodded, strange as it may sound, but her brilliantly intelligent head quickly organized these new things into a separate compartment in her mind, completely different from what she had learned in London. . It is trying to absorb to integrate with the Landcaster.

Uncle Gideon continued: "And each God of War has a Seal, which exists in the form of converging morning stars and appears in an animal, which represents and regulates the self. Humanity and strength exist within each God of War."

In a severe face and warm voice, his eyes want to blur as if he recalls some memory, he continued: "Every person's Seal is the self, and the ego is what belongs to environmental impact or any impact from this life. But the essence of each person is who they are, and nature belongs to themselves, belongs to a gift from God!"

"So… what is your spiritual seal?" Selena was suddenly curious; instead, she was just curious, but she didn't care much about ego or human nature!

But his silly question made everyone laugh; even the cold Alexandre had to laugh out loud.

"Like I said, the Seal is your ego and strength. So it will be fully formed and only appear when you are mature enough and, of course, have the ability!" Uncle Gideon frowned, "Every child of the War Gods is born without their own Seal, and normally most of them will release their Seal when they complete their course at Liam Patrick. After that, they will participate in battles like a true warrior to fulfil the Spirit's responsibility that God has commanded for hundreds of thousands of years." Uncle Gideon spoke magnanimously, making the children shiver and excited around the dining table.

Because every newborn baby is the purest soul.

The harshness of life and their own refining process determine who they are, not God. The human ego is formed from the influence of the environment. As for whether their nature is good or bad depends on whether they have the strength to overcome the word "child" within them!

The Seal can be the ego, a mighty thing that symbolizes strength, but at the same time, it is also a terrible ego, restraining and hiding the true nature of one's being. That ego erases everything; it makes people befuddled with the most miserable qualities of life. And at the same time, maybe the God of War couldn't become a Saint next to God because of the "child" that resides within them?

"My father's Seal is a Sea Dragon. Isn't it cool!" Derek brags about his lost glorious father again.

"It's the strongest of all the aquatic creatures." Uncle Gideon continued so that Selena wouldn't have to blush when she had never seen a "dragon", even though she was past the age to fantasize about dragons or tooth fairies.

"I'll go to my room first." Alexandre suddenly put down the cutlery, stood up and left the room, leaving the whole table bewildered in the clearly sagging atmosphere.

"Did I miss a word…" Derek looked around. It wasn't because he missed his words; Alex was too sensitive; his guilt for losing his parents was much higher than that of other children. At least the Dhara kids have a mother, and Selena has her aunt Alina and her brand new uncle Gideon. As for Alex, there was no one; Selena watched Alexandre's lonely back gradually disappear behind the curved stairs; she felt sympathy; instead, she understood better than anyone the feeling of even her parents. That I have never seen. What could be crueller than that for a child at a critical age in life – the age to form his personality and perfect his own nature – when he needs parents and relatives by his side. Most edge?

Selena just had the most stressful dinner ever. She breathed a sigh of relief as she left that uncomfortable dining table. She finds it interesting and curious that the servants in this mansion are old-looking dwarves. They are only half as tall as Selena but very resourceful. Seeing their stand for washing dishes, Selena wanted to climb on to try, but she was afraid it would collapse, she thought.

Little Dorisa and Helen were close to each other at the round table, huddled together, whispering things. If it weren't for her brother, Helios, who enthusiastically took Selena for a walk around the house, her soul would have been lost. Helios was very interested and interested in asking Selena all kinds of things about London. Even Derek bragged about his achievements in middle school.
