Chapter 2 - Sin and things about God

On the 2nd day JACK and James both sat outside under the scorching sun. Then Jack complains: "Imagine no good shirt, no money, nothing, and nothing. I am hungry, yet there is nothing in the house." James cautioned him. "What is your problem?"Take it easy! Do you think I for once like to be like this? "Stop complaining to my ears please!"

JACK Challenges. "What is wrong with you too?" James saw papa coming. "Look that is papa coming." He points at him and says: "He must have gone to drink, smoke as usual, and play baba ijebu. He comments amusingly: Surprised Jack asked: "How, did you know?" "Is true oh, why is papa walking like this?" They made a mockery of their father who was drunkenly walking home

Can't you see? I said it! He is drunk; you won't find any money on him, I bet you.

Ok, just for a joke, let's ask him for money. He suggested

For what? reacted angrily: "Just ask him! Ask him for anything!" You too ask him, you always want me to be in front all the time! Jack angrily spoke. "OK, say we, I mean us." He agrees they both needed help.

It's 6:30am on a Saturday morning. James took a little a stone throw walk to the nearby church. he quickly slide on an empty pew and waited for his turn to confess. A couple of beautiful young girls dressed in moderate skirts and blouse had their fare share of confession time, with the reverend father, who gave them their penance for them to observe and say before leaving the church. James waited patiently for the other confessors who came before him.

"It is my turn to go for confession" he says as the reverend father beckons: Next person! James moved closer and knelt down. Father gestures the sign of the cross on me.

"In the name of the Father, and of the Son." He raises his hand as James motioned him to stop. Father, I am not here to confess! James quickly said. Why? My Son! This is the hour for it! Father instructs him . "I know, father, I want to." Rev. Father Cuts in. "So, Don't tell me you have not sinned!"

"I sin, but I am tired of confessing and always committing the same sin twice. I know one is enough, for deserving a punishment, or punishments but why do I have to keep falling short by the wayside in my spiritual advancement." "Look at your back young man." He said to James. James complied, "Did you see anyone?" He asked Him. "No!" I nodded my head in response as I looked back and around. "That means you are the last person, am waiting for",

"Now look at those people, they were here before you" "I know father." James agreed to that fact.

Rev. Father continues: "And they are almost done with their penance. What do you really want?" He asked James patiently. Father, I want to inquire about serving God. I want to be a priest, What does it take? " Reverend father laughs; "Ok, my son, friend and brother, do you really want this?" "Yes father." James responded. okay, lets talk, since you are the only one remaining here. Well, well well.. should that be the case my advice is that; you follow your heart, go home, think about it and come back for more discussions. "Ok father, James concurred. He [cuts]: " But mind you, anybody can serve God in any way. Be it a musician, an electrician, anything you can be." James quickly asked: "But does that mean I can marry and still serve God?" Well, yes but some people believe in celibacy. What is celibacy? James quickly asked him interestingly."Oh, that shall be for another time a discussion." He said and they ended the discussion.
