Aiden furrowed his brows.
He did not quite understand, but he heard the nurse loud and clear.
"Why?"
The vampire nurse remained indifferent.
"You simply are not qualified," she replied nonchalantly, not intending to provide Aiden more information.
"That is not the answer I am looking for. Please, I must know why," Aiden insisted.
The vampire nurse gave Aiden an apathetic stare.
Vampires were very practical creatures. They disliked going on and on about a certain topic and preferred a quick and easy solution to a problem.
In ancient times, this meant killing the source of the problem. In modern times, they relied on a more humane approach.
She tilted her head to the side and a vampire security guard quickly approached.
"Is something the matter?" the security guard asked with the same expressionless face. His burly appearance would scare even fellow vampires to some degree, but Aiden did not flinch.
