Jenny Parsons ran out of tears weeks ago. Great sorrow engulfed her, but she was not able to cry. She merely stared at the ceiling while she lay motionlessly on the hospital bed.
Doctors and nurses came and left every hour. They told her that a psychologist was available in case she wanted to talk about the traumatic experience that she had gone through.
Jenny remained quiet.
She didn't want to talk.
She just wanted to sleep for the longest time.
When the six people who saved her came to visit her, she only had two words to say : "Thank you."
And then she went quiet again.
Zane and his five team members left the ward and went to sit somewhere else to discuss.
"All in all, it was a success," Zane Caldwell said. "Lucia has done a good job."
For once, Lucia won the bragging rights. Thanks to her, they were able to track the mysterious corpse to her birth village.
