The creature moved at lightning speed despite its gigantic body. Within the split second it took for the bullet to reach Mark, the creature managed to rush all the way from nowhere to block the bullet for the villainous vampire.
The bullet hit the creature in the chest, but it did not destroy the creature, let alone penetrate its body. Instead, the bullet ricocheted off its chest and shot back in Hans' direction. The pure-blood vampire barely evaded the bullet by jumping out of the way.
Panic cries resounded in the wedding venue when the bullet passed above the guests' heads. The normal guests scattered away, leaving only several people behind -- vampires, werewolves, and werepires -- who were there to capture Mark Parsons.
Ryan's face darkened when his gaze hushed over the mysterious creature that protected Mark just now. He instinctively put himself before Aiden.
Zane was visibly stunned when Brett did the same with him.
"What did you do to Jenny?" Ryan asked.
