The same eyes.
The almost similar hair color.
Aiden stared at the two Ryans in the living room, the adult version and the child version.
Liam was being awfully quiet. He read the fairytale book that Aiden bought him like he would a scientific dissertation. His forehead was even wrinkled from too much pretense.
He was thus glad when Richard the butler came to offer him some afternoon snacks. The little boy put his book aside and happily followed Richard to the kitchen.
"What is it? Why are you in a daze the entire afternoon?" Ryan asked. He rubbed at the creases between Aiden's eyebrows affectionately.
"Ryan, have you ever noticed that Liam greatly resembles you?"
Ryan broke into a chuckle.
"Have I? Do you not know that he called me 'Papa' from the first day we met?"
"... You never told me that before."
"Well, we never talked about it before."
Fair enough.
Ryan lowered his head and captured Aiden's lips in a kiss.
