"If you have anything to say about us, please go ahead and say it, Prince," Brett challenged Ryan while squeezing Zane's hands.
As a response, Zane pulled his hands out of Brett's grasp and smacked him on the shoulder instead.
"Unhand me, you ruffian!" he shouted. "How dare you treat your elder this way???"
Brett looked like he had just been struck by lightning.
"Uh."
"Go. Go now, I say!" Zane shouted again. This time he pushed Brett so hard that the latter almost fell off the bench.
"..."
The werewolf eventually left, not without turning around and throwing several confused looks Zane's way.
"Go!" Zane mouthed again and again until Brett disappeared from their sight.
Ryan calmly put both his hands on top of his cane and pinned Zane with a stare.
Zane swallowed hard when he met Ryan's gaze.
"Aiden is having surgery," he mumbled. "Ruptured spleen."
"Hm. Yeah, I suspected as much."

Of course, he did. He was a doctor himself.
