"Ryan..."
Aiden hugged his lover and buried his face into the latter's chest.
"My grandmother," he lamented. "Did you know...?"
Ryan sighed into Aiden's hair and pressed a kiss on top of his head.
"Ryan, my grandmother hurt so much. She must be very disappointed in me."
"My love..."
The airport security team poured into the vast area to capture the criminals who failed to flee, including the private jet pilots. They rushed past Ryan and Aiden like water going past river boulders.
As they stood in the middle, motionless against the movements around them, Ryan closed his eyes and sighed.
"You did nothing wrong. It was all my fault. I dragged you into my world and killed you with my own hands."
"No, it's my fault," Aiden broke into tears. "I lied to her. It was entirely my fault. I would have confessed my sins to her eventually, but Alain told her all that to hurt her."
Hatred and pain bubbled inside Aiden's heart, threatening to burst out anytime soon.
