"I am willing to grant any request as long as it is within my capability," Aiden promised.
Professor Clement broke into a wide grin.
"All I request of you is to please take good care of the bull and cow that I am going to give you. I will add a calf and a heifer too, so you can start learning to raise the younglings."
Aiden's jaw fell open.
Professor Clement was about to contribute greatly to Aiden's dream of a sustainable food supply for his coven.
They no longer had to be internally conflicted about scarce food supply and guilt over killing so many animals just to stay alive.
"I swear on my life that I will do everything I can to properly take good care of them. I will not waste your goodwill, Professor Clement. But please, allow me to pay for them," Aiden insisted.
The patriarch of the Clement family merely laughed.
