One week before the new university year started, the exam results were announced. Some students heaved a sigh of relief when they saw that they did not have to repeat an exam or an entire class altogether.
Some others howled and wailed in agony as if they were being subjected to medieval tortures.
The mail regarding the scholarship was sent out within three days. Aiden was more than pleased to see that his hard work paid off. He got a scholarship for the second year. If he was able to maintain his academic performance, he could get a scholarship for the third year too.
Once he was done with his degree, he would finally be able to join the workforce. And then, everything would be fine again.
Aiden's life was back on track after a slight detour.
