After Aiden left his former house, he headed toward the train station right away and took the train back to Harrow Lane.
The first call from Ryan arrived when he was on the train. The call went unanswered.
So was the second, the third, and many more after that.
Eventually, Ryan gave up, and Aiden felt as worthless as a pile of crap.
Aiden was already a lot younger than Ryan. He did not plan to act childishly in front of his boyfriend for fear of being disliked, but in the end, he could not avoid it.
He calmed down somewhat later at night, and then Angela's phone call arrived.
It was ridiculous how Aiden knew who exactly Angela was calling for, but Aiden did not hesitate to pick up her phone call at all.
A sense of responsibility, bound by the contract maybe? Angela managed the blood transactions between him and Ryan. At least the first one.
"Aiden, where are you?" was the first question that Angela asked as soon as Aiden picked up.
"Home."
