One week after their marriage, they flew back to Bradford in England where Taylor resided. They got there by twilight.
He had a fabulous mansion in Bradford,each corner of the wall was beautifully and carefully carved with designs. It had a combo of light purple and spotless white paint . It was looking like a palace in a fairy land. It gleamed with pristine silence of for-company-only and the parrot garden was a sight to behold.It had balconies,wide garages,a pool having a dark grey lion statue at the tip of it and few gardens too. The flowers around the mansion added great beauty to it.
In his house,he had cooks , housekeepers and valets every where and of every kind. Before he'd come back from any trip they would be informed earlier for them to be prepared on his arrival.
As he arrived all housekeepers were in the compound lined up according to their tasks and services. They were all dressed in peach aprons for the ladies and peach vests for the males,with their hands crossed at the back and their heads bowed to the ground. Mr Taylor's son Corbin,who was three years of age as at this time stood in front of them with his head up waiting impatiently for his father to drive in.He couldn't wait to drink him in.
Not long, the gates opened and the trafficator light shone bright into the opulent compound. Corbin used his left hand to stop the light from entering dead into his eyes. Once the car was parked Corbin rushed to the door and awaited his father.
Anzu's eyes had as much curiosity as a parsnip. It was burning with fire too.
"I don't look forward to seeing a lad around here" She scowlingly reasoned.
Mr Taylor gracefully came down from the vehicle, followed by Anzu coming down from the other side of the door. He looked at Corbin who was racing towards him smiling, being chuffed he shouted with open arms.
"Come here boy"
"Oh father,you stayed longer than expected. I've missed you alot these last few days,Nanny Matilda said you'd be back today and that you got a new mistress back there in Beijing.Is that true?, Can I see her?" Corbin asked inquisitively while looking up to his father who was smiling.
"Corbin you never cease to befuddle me.Of a truth your tutor is doing a great job.
"Thanks for the compliment father and thanks to tutor James,he just does his job. Can you now answer my questions father?"
Laughing out loud
"Alright, I'll tell you everything once we get inside"
Corbin shrugged his shoulders, agreeing to what his father asked.
Anzu became confused,"What's with the father and son?"She thought. "Well I'll get to know everything tonight"
She followed them immediately into the house.
Mr Taylor called all his workers and introduced Anzu to them as his wife and that she should be addressed as"My mistress".
He took Corbin into the room and told him everything.
"Father, you're saying she's my mother?"
"Yes Corbin, she is now your mother and my wife"
"Is she going to love me"
The conversation continued as Corbin was looking straight into his father's eyes.
"Yes of course,she will give you all the love you deserve"
Corbin felt relieved after hearing this,the only thing remaining was to see it come about.
After he had had a good time with his father,he was put to sleep.
Anzu had changed her clothing into a dark blue chemise. She was at the verandah, standing close to the fence and humming a song.
Just then Mr Taylor entered and rested on the fence right beside her.
"You've got a beautiful house"she said as she stopped humming, noticing his being there.
"I know, it's not the only house I've got, there are others around the city,but this seems to be my liking".
"I see"
"Just go ahead and ask me"
He said, already knowing that Anzu had a lot on her mind, doubtlessly about Corbin.
"Where is his mother?" Anzu asked without hesitating,she didn't want to live in the house with another woman.
"You are quite Snoopy, I'll tell you what you need to know" He said stroking her hair.
Mr Taylor had an affair at the age of 20 with a common girl who took care of a stable.
She didn't have any families and unfortunately,she had no memories of her childhood too.She just found herself at the stable and life went on. This dame gave birth to Corbin on her own, without the help of anyone. She had no friends,it was Taylor,he had come to see her everyday after school since his 7th grade. After she gave birth to Corbin,she was no where to be found,the horses were still there too, she had left him where Taylor would see him when he came.
Taylor got to the stable that day , looked around for her and didn't find her.He then saw Corbin and took him home. No clue was left by the dame, She also had no name. That was how Corbin came to leave with Mr Taylor,his father.
Nanny Matilda took good care of him and also called him his name"Corbin".She is someone who believes in fallacy. When she found out that Corbin was a very special child, she took him to her voodoo doctor and he told her a secret about Corbin's birth, sternly warning her not to tell anyone, including Mr Taylor. It was expected of her to just warn them about the weight of what would happen if anything happened to him before his 20yrs elapses.
The voodoo doctor made it clear to Nanny Matilda that Corbin wasn't going to live long and if his father ever married any woman before his 20yrs,she wouldn't bear any children till after Corbin's death.It was Corbin's fate as the mystery behind his birth is dreadful.
Well, Nanny Matilda did good by announcing to Taylor that she has gone to a voodoo doctor and he said that Corbin wasn't going to live long.Mr Taylor cried the day he heard about it but he couldn't do anything. The voodoo doctor also gave some counterorders of the things Corbin shouldn't do before his age 20. They were things like,he shouldn't smoke,drink,fall in love,swim and lastly he shouldn't let his blood out of his skin. Corbin was no normal child, he is already smart, knowing a lot of things and figuring out issues even at age three.
Nanny Matilda told him everything about himself except for the intolerable secret which only she was privileged to know. He knew all the counterorders. He also knew that Anzu wasn't going to have children, that was the reason he asked his father about her loving him.
Now Mr Taylor has made it known to Anzu that she wasn't going to have children till Corbin was dead and nobody should try cutting his tenure short because,it would only cause more harm to the very person, trying to do so.
Anzu became very pissed after listening to Taylor.
"Why didn't you tell me before now"
"I'm sorry,I didn't want you to leave me"
Anzu giggled as she became desperate immediately. Her thoughts and plans changed on the spot. She didn't care about the last part of Taylor's story,she was going to kill Corbin by herself.
