Synopsis
Nathaniel Drim has lived a fairly normal life in his 19 years of being alive, sure he wasn’t the nicest person, or the softest, and he was a lazy asshole.. but he didn’t deserve to be murdered in cold blood! Maybe he deserved it in a small kind of way, but still, he wasn’t that kind of guy! Honest! He truly just wanted to live his days in peace and just lay in bed all day, he didn’t deserve such harsh treatment! And maybe there were a few people who wouldn’t shy away from killing him, like his sister, or his ex girlfriend who he might of dumped over text, sure he hasn’t made the best choices but he still isn’t that bad of a guy! And you must be bullshitting him if you told him he’d wake up in a novel, of course he’s in a fucking novel now, and of course it’s the series that he blew his money on to reread countless time, and it’s just such bullshit that he couldn’t even possess a cool character, no he was just himself, his weak frail body that could be torn the shreds if the slightest wind knocked him over on a sunny day, God he knows he’d daydreamed about being in this world before but he didn’t mean it fucking literally, and it’s not like those other cliché and cheesy novels he’s read before, he’s not some overpowered character with a lot of money so he can live peacefully in this forsaken fuckin’ world, He didn’t even want to think about the Annoying hero of the story, seriously most of those characters were so damn annoying he was almost motivated to get out of bed, the only characters that kept him going were the Villain and his “army” which were really just a handful of loyal partners, The villain was honestly his favorite character and only few other readers agreed with him, literally he was the smartest character in the book, if only the plot armor on the stupid protagonist hadn’t let him be defeated at the end, sometimes the hero’s need to fucking lose come on guys. And the villain had every right to be upset when the hero made fun of his name like he didn’t ask for his name, and he personally enjoyed the villain enthusiast fan fiction, they were all really cool, and even the author of the novel had expressed that the villain originated liked his name until the hero and his squad of hoes that were on his dick 24/7 mocked him for it, Seriously Nathaniel fully supported the villain, but holy shit did he expect to be in the same WORLD as him. --------------------------------- The cover does not belong to me, if the artists somehow come across this and want me to change it I will gladly do so.

Chapter 1 - Character Introduction

"GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE AND STAY OUT YOU UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT!", Standing soaked in the thundering rain as a suitcase full of his little belongings were thrown at him, these were the first memories Nathaniel has of his life, not when he was 10 or 13, just him being 14 when he was kicked out of his house by his overbearing strict father and mother because he had gotten suspended from middle school,

and all he could remember feeling was empty as he stared at the anger on their old wrinkled faces as they glared at him, simply speaking he hadn't fully processed what happened, even when he walked away from that godforsaken house when his feet stung as he accidentally stepped in broken glass, when he sat at a bus stop completely drenched in water, barefoot, only with his phone and wallet, blasting Michelle by Sir Chloe through his earphones as he numbly waited for the bus to come, only then when he stopped at a gas station did the entire situation click in his mind before he broke down crying.

He just couldn't take it at all anymore, he spent so long with all these emotions bottled up that he completely forgot what it felt like to cry so openly, so loudly, so freely, and why he would never cry like that ever again.

He pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts as he sat alone on a park swing, the rain stopping to a drizzle, coldly swinging back and forth by the momentum of his feet. his finger hesitantly hovering over the name, someone he hadn't called since he was 10 but still had in his phone, he couldn't tell if his hands were trembling because of the cold or because of the anxiety of talking to his older sister again after their last conversation, he let out a shaky breath before finally clicking on the contact, his mind scrambling for words as his tongue felt heavy in his mouth, the phone rang 3 times before she picked up, her annoying voice heard on the other side and loud rock music playing in the background,

"Who the Hell is this?"

The words felt heavy on his chest and his eyes prickled with tears as he barely managed to choke out a few shaky words

"Hi, Michelle.. it's me…Nathan."

There was a long pause on the side of the line, the music sounds a lot more distant than it was before, a sign that she'd probably turned it down,

"Nathaniel what the fuck. Why are you calling me after 4 years. I thought you up and died, I thought that wench and dirtbag just didn't let me come see your funeral, what the hell is wrong with you!?"

She screamed at him through the other line, wanting an answer to her questions that only made his heart ache in pain and sorrow, his voice cracked as tears fell freely down his face as he sobbed openly over the phone

"I Fucked up, I Fucked up so bad an' I got kicked out.. I don' have anything.. elle pleas help me"

His words slurred together as he cried, his hands trembled in the icy cold as he hunched in himself, his sopping wet hoodie and sweatpants not helping with his situation, he begged for help from his older sister like a little kid,

She sighed openly, the feeling had for having yelled at the 14-year-old, she slid a hand through her dyed dark pink hair, stressed about this entire situation, she agreed to let him stay at her place for a while until he could physically get himself out.

That had been quite some years ago considering he was currently 19 and in his own house, his younger sister, Penelope, who was now 15 had decided she wanted to live with him for some random reason, as far as he knew she hated him since she was born, and continued to exhibit this behavior, the only reason he hadn't kicked her out was that she offered to pay all his bills for him, and gods know he was tired of working for minimum wage, happy to just stay in his bed all day.

"The Hero's Last Requiem" was something he started because his older sister had recommended it to him as a way of "getting his annoying ass out of her way", whatever that meant, it was alright he guessed, he mostly played mobile games and watched Netflix Anyways so what was another thing to occupy his mind,

At first, it was a typical story starter, a person dies, goes back in time to stop the shit from happening, finds happiness, blah blah blah, the real story started in volume 8, when the villain was exposed to be a Regressor, which by the way, serious fucking plot twist, and that's when they stopped focusing on the bitches they called main characters and more on the villain's side of things, there wasn't much because either the author didn't plan much or didn't want to expose too much, but either way, Volumes 8 through 10 are the best by far In Nathaniel's opinion, maybe he's biased because he hated the protagonist and liked the villain so sue him, he has his priorities,

Penelope liked to try and take care of him sometimes, it was really weird in his opinion but he really didn't care as long as she wasn't invading too much of his personal space,

It wasn't unusual for her to make him food and try to at least make sure he wasn't going to kill himself via starvation or dehydration, so he didn't think much of it when he saw a water bottle near his door, she must've put it there when he wasn't looking, he was getting thirsty anyways, when he took a sip it tasted bitter, like, whiskey bitter, and he was getting really tired all of a sudden, it was probably just because he spent all night reading The Hero's Last Requiem latest chapter, so it was relatively easy for him to fall asleep in his messy but comfortable bed,

Only to feel a deadly sharp pain in his chest as he shook awake, his eyes blurry as he found that the pain was an actual knife in his chest, well, shit.

Looks like a failed murder attempt by Penelope, actually, maybe it's not a failed attempt if he's already seeing black spots and his body feels cold, oh, she took the knife out his chest and stabbed him in the stomach, ow, that fucking hurts you dumb bitch. He wished he could say to that bitches face if blood wasn't pooling into his mouth and he was seeing more black than anything else,

Maybe he should have called the police after she tried this yesterday? Well that doesn't matter because it's super cold right now, he wishes he had a blanket of something, it's fucking freezing, and he's so damn tired, he doesn't even know why this time, he just is, maybe now he can finally sleep, he's so tired he could drop dead.
