Alfred's burial was quickly done because Sarah just wanted to lay her son to rest. The police assured the family that they were going to stop the investigations and they were going to make sure that the culprit was brought to justice.
The week of Alfred's burial was a hectic one for Maya and she spent long hours at the Alfred's family house. Damian would pick her up in the evening and she hardly even visited her father at the hospital which worried her deeply.
A loud car horn brought Maya back to the present. Her head snapped towards the direction of the sound and Damian waved her over.
Maya waved back before going inside to pick her bag.
"Is Damian in?" Sarah, who was sitting in the sofa asked.
"Yes...I'll take my leave now," Maya smiled sweetly. Just then Amyrah came running down the stairs.
"Grandma can I please spend the night at Damian's house?" Amyrah said making a cute puppy face.
