Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: Sukuna Plan

Mute's gaze pierced through Nobara, his eyes fixated on her as she stood before him, her body adorned with the remnants of past conflicts. The woman's lips quivered, until she locked gazes with Mute.

"Are you Mute?" she asked.

"Indeed," Mute replied, his voice laced with a hint of arrogance. "And what brings you here? Are you foolish enough to challenge me?"

Nobara scoffed at Mute's remark, shaking her head while gripping her hammer tightly. "No, I stumbled upon you purely by accident,". "But if you don't mind, could you educate me on what in the hell is going on?"

Mute's expression remained indifferent as he responded, "I have no interest in engaging in conversation, especially with someone who won't survive long enough for it to matter."

Nobara seeing that her goal, of gaining information about the attack, was pointless, tightened the grip on her hammer, preparing herself for a battle against Mute. Getting ready to see how powerful, he truly was. However, before their confrontation could begin it was abruptly interrupted by a deafening explosion, a mere thirty feet away from them. The sudden burst of light illuminated the surroundings, leaving Mute staring at the aftermath in astonishment.

The amount of cursed energy at the source of the explosion was powerful, the being that created that explosion could easily defeat the weakened Mute. Mute glanced over at Nobara before he formed a plan, and his body vanished. Shocking Nobara who started to flee from the area, fearing for her life...

Still standing on top of the meteor created by Jogo. Sukuna and Uruame were having a light-hearted conversation until Sukuna suddenly snapped his head to the left, sensing that Megumi's life was endangered. Uruame looked at Sukuna concerned until he abruptly spoke before Uruame could ask a question.

" This is urgent business, I'll see you later, Uruame. "

" It was nice meeting you again, "...

The sound of high-pitched screaming rippled through the air, as Haruta stared at a massive white monster with a wheel above its head. On Haruta's left, Megumi could be seen, his face indented into a metal gate, and his face was covered in blood. He was obviously going to die, Haruta out pure of desperation yelled out to unconscious Megumi.

" H-Hey, shitty sorcerer. Call this damn thing off- " Before Haruta could finish his sentence, Mahoraga swung its massive sword downwards, making Haruta stare up in fear until suddenly someone grabbed onto Haruta and save him from Haruta's slash. Mahoraga glanced to the right and saw Sukuna standing next to Megumi with his hand on Megumi's chest.

" Don't die on me Megumi, I still need you to do something for me. " Haruta stared at Sukuna in pure shock and was about to say something until Sukuna rudely cut him off. " Just shut up and watch. "...

As Mahoraga and Sukuna are about to begin their battle, on the very edge of Shibuya, inside a dusty half-destroyed building, Shoko can be seen crouching next to several badly injured and unconscious sorcerers. Her hand was currently on Ino's face, as she healed Ino's mangled face. Shoko stared at Ino's face as it slowly healed until she murmured.

" First Nanami, and now his student. Looks like he's going to fall into a coma as well. And guessing from the loud explosions outside, this incident doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. "

Shoko released her grip on Ino's face, but he remained unconscious. Shoko stared at her plam disappointed in herself. Until suddenly, her phone buzzed in her pocket, catching her off guard. She swiftly grabbed it, seeing a text message from Mei Mei.

She quickly tapped the notification, before her eyes widened and anger started to fill her veins, she tightly gripped her phone, before she exhaled loudly trying to calm her nerves. The text message reads as follows.

" Hey Shoko, good news. I've left Shibuya, but unfortunately, your friends weren't so lucky. So good luck healing all of them :} "

Shoko stared at the message confused about why Mei Mei left, until the sound of footsteps at the entrance of the building caught her attention making Shoko look up from her phone. Shoko watched as Yuta and Hakari walked into the building, Yuta was clearly still exhausted, as soon as he entered the building, he collapsed onto one knee.

Hakari walked past the kneeling Yuta before he towered over Shoko and spoke while looking at the several injured sorcerers lying on the ground.

" Looks like you got your hands full here. " Shoko just nodded her head and responded to Hakari agreeing to his statement.

"Unfortunately, I do. But have you heard the news about Mei Mei? She has left Shibuya."

"Well, that's not too surprising. It's Mei Mei we're talking about," Yuta responded, panting between each word. Hakari glanced at Yuta, then shifted his gaze back to Shoko. Before he started to walk past Yuta, Yuta glanced over at Hakari before asking a question.

" Where are you going Hakari? "

" I'm going to pick off Mute, I'm sure he's on his last legs right now. " Responded Hakari, as he walked out of the building, his footsteps echoing out...

*BOOM* *Boom* *BOOM*

Explosions were happening all over Shibuya, as Mahoraga's enormous body was flung through buildings, followed by hundreds of slashes that mangled its frame. Mahoraga floated in the air, with scars lining its pale body, until suddenly the wheel rotated, and all the damage done to its body, vanished.

Sukuna floated above Mahoraga with a manaical grin etched onto his face, as he brought his hands together. While Sukuna pondered about Mahoraga's ability.

" Your ability is the power to adapt to anything and everything. HAHA, you've truly surprised me Megumi Fushiguro. I wanted to fight that one sorcerer that appeared, when I first reawakened to this world, but it looks like I'm going to have to give all my remaining power to defeat you. "

As soon as Sukuna finished murmuring, his cursed output skyrocketed and the grin on his face grew wider before two words escaped his mouth.

" Domain Expansion "...
