" Why am I here? It's quite simple. I'm here to kill you. "
Mute stared at the man with an amused look before he hopped off the boulder, and glared into the man's pitch-black eyes. Mute grinned before speaking as the man slowly walked closer to him.
" So, who ordered you to kill me? The Jujutsu higher-ups or some other party that wants to take my life. "
The man smirked before grabbing his straw hat and tossing it off his head. The straw hat swayed in the air slowly descending to the ground. Mute watched as the straw hat landed on the ground before his eyes widened watching the man's body disappear, vanishing from the forest entirely.
Mute starts to calmly look around trying to find the assassin. This isn't the first assassin who has been sent to take his life. And it most likely won't be the last. Mute glances through the dense forest until abruptly Mute's left leg starts to shake. Mute glances down at his legs confused.
The reason for Mute's leg shaking wasn't from the ground trembling under him instead it was from something he hadn't felt in a long time, the distant feeling of a gaze. The source of this gaze was from someone all too familiar to Mute. However, he never expected to feel this gaze once again. Mute looked over to his right before a voice spoke.
"It's been a while hasn't it, little brother? "
Leaning on a tree with her arms crossed was Mute's older sister, Null. Mute stared at his sister with widening eyes. The PTSD his sister caused him made her mere gaze make Mute sweat. Mute's hands started to shake as he thought about the possibility of his sister coming back to life...
What the hell is she doing here? There's no way Gojo would have spared her. So the sorcerer from earlier is probably a medium. But if she's under that man's control there's a solid chance she can't make her own decisions.
And if her innate technique works after death, there's no telling how many replays she has on my body. My death is surely guaranteed. I wipe the sweat off my forehead before I shrink the distance between myself and my sister.
I appear directly in front of her throwing a powerful punch at her skull. I only have a few seconds before she activates the replays on my body killing me instantly. In those few seconds, I'll have to kill her. My punch sailed through the air before violently slamming into the bridge of her nose.
However, her face doesn't budge. I stare at her confused until the sound of cracking enters my ears. My heart sank thinking one of my bones was shattered, but that wasn't the case. Instead, my sister's body transformed into a tree. The tree was split in half by my punch.
The tree loudly collapsed onto the ground making a loud thud. Before I could process what had happened, an attack slammed into my temple making me stumble to the side. I grit my teeth in pain before my vision suddenly flickered in and out. And the forest around me changes, the trees start to swirl around each other wildly.
Before suddenly they separate apart and? Change into colorful balloon animals that slowly fall out of the sky. I gaze at the falling balloons bewildered until in the corner of my eye. I see a kick approaching me. I glare at the incoming kick before freezing it in the air.
I hear a verbal scoff before the sorcerer from earlier appears in my vision before he dashes back coming to a sliding stop several feet away. This sorcerer's ability isn't being a medium at all. Instead, it's illusions.
If he can control illusions there's no telling if the man in front of me. Is the real thing or just a figment of his technique? If he is just a figment the real one is probably swinging an attack at me, aiming at one of my vital areas. So in a few seconds an attack will approach me. I look around and right on cue, I see a sharp object approaching my jugular, causing me to lean back narrowly dodging the attack.
A sharp sword grazes my neck as the sorcerer appears directly in front of me. He smacks his lips before he dashes back and his body disappears once again. I watch his body disappear while I think to myself.
He keeps appearing once he attacks. So, he probably has to make himself appear to be able to attack. I let out a wry grin before I watch the ground under my feet turn from grass to sand and the forest around me disappear turning into a beach. I feel my feet sink in the sand before the man appears next to me swinging a katana directly at my skull...
