Commander?
What a joke, Gao Yuan never considered himself a commander and never dared to think that way.
He had never attended a military academy, had never received complete military training, and didn't even understand squad tactics. To think of being a commander with that kind of background was absurd.
The role that suited Gao Yuan best was that of an extremely capable assault trooper.
In ancient times, Gao Yuan would have been a fierce general, a vanguard, the kind that, upon the chief commander's order to charge, would utterly destroy the enemy. But to make him a marshal commanding thousands of troops would be harmful.
Gao Yuan wasn't stupid, nor was he foolish. He was just an ordinary office worker who, because of his experiences, found himself inexplicably in the position of a squad leader, nothing more. If he suddenly became adept at warfare, that would be unrealistic.
