Tang Lin woke up from a wonderful dream, feeling as if he were soaking in a hot spring and had a full-body massage.
However, just as he was enjoying this relaxed state, he suddenly felt a surge of energy, his whole body pumping with adrenaline, and his heart racing.
When Tang Lin opened his eyes, he found that his body seemed to be sinking into the ground, already covered with a thin layer of sand and topped with numerous low shrubs.
Nearly buried alive, Tang Lin scrambled to his feet in fright. This movement sent another round of tremors through the earth, raising clouds of dust. Those standing on the ground were engulfed in a huge amount of dust, forcing Storm Goddess Oro to summon a strong wind to blow the sandstorm away.
Only then did Tang Lin notice several tiny figures at his feet. One of them resembled a purple sweet potato spirit brother; wasn't that the boss Apocalypse whom he was just trying to avoid?!
"System, system! I want to abandon the mission and return!" Tang Lin frantically called in his mind, fearing Apocalypse might bury him alive with just a snap of his fingers.
The emotionless system quickly responded, "You are in a special state and cannot return. For details, please check your skill interface."
Damn!
Tang Lin didn't have time to check the system interface because the mutants at his feet had already started attacking him. Storm Goddess Oro flew into the air, countless lightning bolts gathering around her, striking toward Tang Lin.
Although Tang Lin's reaction speed was not affected by his giant transformation, he couldn't evade such fast lightning. The lightning, thicker than Oro's waist, drew a scorching white trail through the air and struck Tang Lin's knee.
That's it, my knee got zapped!
That was Tang Lin's first reaction, but next moment, he felt nothing at all.
Oh, thank goodness for the great quality of the hospital gown from the city hospital, not cutting any corners. To Oro, lightning thicker than her waist was equivalent to a lighter's spark for Tang Lin.
His originally thin trousers, after his giant transformation, were now over twenty centimeters thick. This thick cotton fabric couldn't possibly be pierced by such "tiny sparks." Tang Lin didn't even feel a tingle, just got startled by the flash.
Oro hadn't yet grown into the true Storm Goddess and couldn't summon real lightning several meters in diameter, so there was no threat to Tang Lin.
Oro didn't expect her attack to have no effect at all, at most leaving an unnoticeable black spot on the giant's white trousers. The next moment, Oro heard a deafening boom that shattered the clouds.
"Oro!" Tang Lin shouted at the Storm Goddess, making her body go weak.
Oro only felt darkness descending as a massive white object enveloped her from above, trapping her inside.
"You think just not agreeing will get you off the hook?"
Tang Lin had just grabbed an enamel mug, trapping Oro like a "mosquito." Who told her to fly up so high, right to Tang Lin's knee level. The mug scooped her up perfectly, then he sealed it with the lid.
The enamel mug was coated with a layer of ceramic glaze, thin as it was to Tang Lin, but to Oro, it was like a half-meter thick ceramic layer, impervious to electricity. The lid must weigh dozens of tons, making it difficult for her to push it open.
Having taken care of one, Tang Lin turned to flee, lest Apocalypse act, as building a pyramid would be just a hand wave away, burying him alive in no time.
Just as he started moving, a slash sounded. Looking down, he saw a fresh wound bleeding profusely on his trouser leg. Another mosquito took flight, the one with steel wings, Angel.
The sharp wings had cut Tang Lin's trousers, leaving a shallow wound on his calf.
"Bastard, these trousers are public property!" Tang Lin swung a toilet brush and smashed it toward Angel.
A giant sonic boom cloud appeared, the bristled end of the brush enveloped in mist, crashing toward Angel with immense force. If it connected, no matter Angel's steel wings, they would be pounded into a paste, stuck irretrievably in the bristle hair.
But Angel was far more adept at flying than Storm Goddess Oro. With a flick of his wings, he dodged the toilet brush's attack, though the whirlwind it generated sent him tumbling far away.
Tang Lin was enraged, like spotting a mosquito that sucked his blood and yet escaped unscathed.
The toilet brush turned and smashed toward Angel again. This time he couldn't dodge, not truly being a mosquito, and Tang Lin's toilet brush breaking the sound barrier caused vertigo.
Such a close encounter with a sonic boom, not being instantly killed was proof of his mutant constitution.
Angel couldn't dodge, yet his fate was not sealed. A giant stone pillar suddenly emerged from the ground, blocking the toilet brush. Tang Lin's formidable strength could indeed crush the stone pillar, but it still diverted the brush's course slightly, grazing past Angel once more.
Angel spun dozens of times in mid-air, struggling to fly far away. This little creature was quite fast, Tang Lin probably couldn't catch up even at a jog.
But Tang Lin chose not to pursue; the stone pillar reminded him the big boss Apocalypse was still there, so he'd better get out quickly!
Before leaving, Tang Lin glanced at Apocalypse and found him being supported by Ling Die, looking so weak he couldn't even stand up.
"What happened? Who heavily injured Apocalypse?!"
Tang Lin was shocked; in the movie, wasn't this boss at full health until suddenly dropping? He hadn't watched the movie, but had seen some clips, distinctly remembering that full health vanishing scene.
In that instant, Tang Lin made a reckless decision: strike him while he's down!
Just a stomp, just a stomp and then flee!
The idea was so overwhelming, and Apocalypse's position was just too perfect—not stomping him felt like a disgrace to his two-hundred-meter stature.
Tang Lin lifted his leg, stomping down toward Apocalypse with all his might! The speed was so fast that when Tang Lin's foot landed, it produced a giant sonic boom cloud. The white mist enveloped Tang Lin's large foot, descending like an apocalyptic forbidden curse, crashing onto Apocalypse and Ling Die.
One stomp brought the ground down over thirty meters. The earth turned to a watery surface, ripples spreading in all directions, forming a colossal pit as if struck by a meteor. The surrounding trees were blown down in heaps by the explosive storm, with a damage radius over a hundred meters.
Tang Lin clearly felt his strength growing substantially, empowered by the earth, far surpassing his limits. Plus, his giant form provided such power that even an aircraft carrier would be flattened underfoot.
Still unsatisfied, Tang Lin twisted his foot, fearing the two below hadn't been thoroughly crushed.
Such an earth-shattering stomp, not even Apocalypse could survive, right?!
