He spoke.... Of course they each knew he could, they just hadn't expected him to break his oath...AGAIN. With a heavy sigh Dimitri asked him "What is it now oathbreaker?" only for his words to have reminded the gracedfolk knight of his oath and have him remain silent. "Really, NOW you're shutting up?" he continued. Ursilamiel therefore spoke on his brother's behalf and said the name the boy had just so casually called was that of the enemy. "Enemy, what enemy!?" asked Skrzak. Ekeroth quickly understood as he filled in before the angels could "The enemy they fought 12 thousand years ago on Zera...". "Yes" spoke Seraphim as she nodded in agreement. "Mind if I ask what the worry is in meeting an enemy you had already defeated?" questioned Pereira. And as Seraphim added "Not defeated...killed".
"Before time in the realm of Zera, God send two archangels...Zeraphel and Sathralius. They together made all that ever was within Zera's boundaries, all that ever is and all there ever shall be. However Sathralius was not as devoted to the cause as was Zeraphel and left in the process of the making, giving Zera its many many imperfections"
The remaining ten of the warriors listened carefully to the words encompassed by Seraphim's tongue. Without delay she continued and said:" Sathralius became a...different creature. Fallen from the grace he once had to a sinful devil, he became the first of the damnedfolk".
"So I take it the war came after that?"
"Yes. It took us 400 years and an amount of bloodshed unimaginable, but we were successful in killing of each and every one of the damnedfolk. They shouldn't exist anymore"
The small boy looked confused at Seraphim, puzzled of the history she just spoke yet he never heard. "B-but the damnedfolk have always done what they wanted in Sathra.." he spoke softly, nervous not to anger the 11 warriors before him. "It is as the boy says, Seraphim" added Gijin afterwards. "Perhaps you and the order of Zeraphel truly brought an end to the damnedfolk, but that was in Zera. As the boy spoke...we are in Sathra". Soon after Victoria angrily spoke up and said :"We didn't come here to fight some war, we didn't want to come here in the first place! We need to get back home!". "And how do you propose we do so?" asked her father.
"I understand your concern for I am concerned as well, but shouting are needs and wants won't do us any good"
Gijin walked to Heatherfield and asked him in private if he could return them home. To no surprise, it is beyond Heatherfield's field of knowledge. As he argued, they arrived through the tomb but weren't anywhere near one and couldn't tell with certainty if Sathra even had such a tomb. Meanwhile unbeknownst to the warriors in a land miles away, at the damnedfolk empire built on the backs of those they had long since enslaved, the damnedfolk empress Lucifera is to meet with her 3 generals leading her armies. She had decided to confess her plans for invasion with the hopes of conquering New Algea, the one country in the world of Sathra that her empire had yet to conquer. As she entered the room, her three generals awaited her seated. The first, the twilight cursifier and feydragon, Hematofaphestus. Second, the elven beast tamer, Jinah. And lastly the insect king, Gaum. The empress had her generals removed from their seats and had them bowed before her as she entered, having made clear her superiority. "Her lordship hardly calls for a meeting, may I inquire what is the problem?" started the first general. "I have devised a plan to claim New Algea, one that is sure not to fail" she replied. "At last!" screamed out the third general. But the first was at an unsettling unease. "Is your lordship certain of the plan's success?" he asked.
"He is correct to ask, your highness" added the second. "We've tried to conquer New Algea before..."
"Warry not, elvenchild for I know the path to victory. It is not to outsmart Algea's troops or to flatten their armies, but the kill that old buffoon"
"The elder dragon!?" asked the insect king shocked greatly. "Her highness knows how to slay the pale winter?"
"But how?" questioned Hematofaphestus. "The elder dragon has a power level of 655,000. I myself have a power level of 230,000, whereas Gaum has 159,000 and Jinah a mere 50,000"
"I believe..." Jinah intervened "he means to say we are too weak to face the pale winter"
"Having you useless bunch fight him isn't my plan..." the empress spoke. She took a greenish orb from within a small pouch, so dark it appeared black.
"This orb will create an imitation of Sathra. Any calamity will appear as a red dot glowing on the globe—
The orb was activated and a small imitation of Sathra was created as a hologram, a globe. But to Lucifera's surprise, 12 dots appeared instead of one. The shock was of no delight and left her speechless as it could potentially undo the workings of her plan.
"Your highness, what is the plan?" asked the third.
"That's not...there are 12 calamities in Sathra?"
Both Hematofaphestus and Jinah are shocked by the sudden news as was their empress.
"That cannot be. A calamity is one with a power level of 650,000 or higher!!"
"Your highness wishes to say aside from the pale winter, their are 11 others with such godly power!?"
"The pale winter could have ended the entirety of the damnedfolk empire. We survived because we retreated and he refused to leave New Algea. The arrival of 11 more is just outrageous!"
Lucifera slammed her hands on the table silencing the generals. She stood in silence before she had finally taken a seat. She sat silently before she uttered underneath her breath: "Sathra could never hope to survive 12 calamities".
"No need for haste, her highness' plan can still be of value for one, and as we can clearly see 11 aren't anywhere near Algea less so the elder dragon"
"C-correct, they might not be acquainted for all we know"
Suddenly Lucifera jumped from her seat, staring in a spine-shivering fear at the globe as all the 12 dots were in one place.
