Chapter 17 - No One Leaves

Allen stood up from Matthew's body after he was done drinking the amount of blood he wanted, feeling satisfied, he licked his lips with a sinister smile on his face as he stared back at Matthew who was glaring at him.

"You monster, I'll tell everyone about you!" He promised with hatred and disgust in his eyes.

"Because I didn't suck you dry, you think you can threaten me? I dare you!" Allen replied and smiled at him. He moved a bit closer to him and lowered himself to his height. "I won't kill you because I might still need your blood in the future," he whispered to him, and then his eyes glowed. "Don't tell anyone what you saw because if you do, I'll kill you and your entire family! Do you understand me?"

"Yes, I do," Matthew replied mindlessly.

"Very good," Allen replied and patted him on the head as how a dog owner would do to his dog. He stood up and smiled, "Now, let's go back," he said and dragged him again back to where they were fighting before.

As he went back, the students saw them coming and rushed to meet them. When he got there, he threw Matthew to the ground and cleared his throat.

"As you can see, I'm clearly the winner and as the loser, he is supposed to leave the school completely but listen to me, he is not going to leave this school. I'm going to keep my eyes on him from now on, isn't that right?" He said and turned to ask Matthew.

"Yes, it is right," Matthew replied.

"You see? He also agrees with me obe-dient-ly," Allen said, stretching the last words carefully so that everyone would hear them.

"Hey, what did you do to him?" Someone asked Allen from among the crowd.

Allen turned to the boy and smirked. "What? Do you want to give it a try?" He asked him.

"Aren't you too arrogant?" The boy yelled angrily. He was clearly irritated by Allen's nonchalant behavior.

"What are you going to do about it?" Allen asked him with a smirk.

"You, I'll show you then!" The boy grunted and rushed at him from the crowd. As soon as he was about to attack him, Matthew stood up and blocked his way. "Boss! What are you trying to do?" The boy asked him with a confused and displeased look on his face.

"No, don't touch him or you'll regret it," Matthew replied to him. He was weak to stand up and so he soon fell to his knees.

"What are you saying? Allow me to teach him a lesson for what he did to you!" The boy was displeased.

"No, I said don't! You can't do anything to him," Matthew said to him tiredly.

"Tell me why! What did he do to you?" The boy asked him.

"He— Nothing, he did nothing!" Matthew replied. Just as he was about to say something, he felt a severe headache at the back of his head and the words couldn't leave his throat. It was as though something was blocking those words from coming out. "Take me back to the hostel and help me call my family doctor," he said to the boy.

"O-okay," the boy replied reluctantly and helped him up. He turned to Allen, "I'm not yet done with you, I must pay you back," he promised and left with Matthew.

Allen chuckled as he watched the two boys leave, he was not scared of threats, not when the person threatening him is someone that is not matched in strength with him. After they had left, he turned to Sam and Zane. "I'm off," he said to them and began to walk away.

"Hold on!" Zane called to him and rushed to meet him.  "Why did you allow him to stay in school? I would have loved to see the look on his face when he leaves shamefully," he said to him with a frown on his face.

"Because he's my food, I can't let my food leave my sight," Allen replied and left his side.

' Food? What food is he talking about? ' Zane thought with a confused look. "Do you like him—?" He asked but looking up, he didn't see Allen anywhere near him again. "How the hell was he fast?" He mumbled to himself.

Back at the hostel, the moment Allen entered his room, he went straight to the bathroom and had a warm bath after which he wore his clothes and lay down on his bed. The wound on his arm was already healed up, thanks to the fresh blood he consumed and so he was perfectly fine again.

"I can't believe I fought two fools even before beginning my classes in this school, I have eventually created a bad name for myself already. What a fortune!" He mumbled to himself as he gazed at the turning ceiling fan. Just while he reminiscing about the fight earlier, he suddenly remembered what his system had said to him at that time. "What is bloodlust? System, explain that to me!" He requested.

[Bloodlust is an ability that enhances the host's vampire strength and abilities to max. It is only activated when your desire to kill your opponent is stronger than your desire to win, and when it is activated, it begins to leak out. And when that happens, your true vampire form will manifest to the open eyes, and when that happens, everyone that is present around you will know that you are a vampire. Bear in mind that when your bloodlust is activated, your blood level will begin to drop until it reaches zero and if that happens, you lose your sense of judgment and will become a monster ready to kill anyone or anything that comes your way. If that happens, I'm sure you know what will happen to you]

"I'll be hunted and killed?" Allen asked.

[Exactly. Because by then, you have become a mindless monster who can't think for himself]

"I see. Thank you for explaining that to me, I'll be sure to control myself in the future," Allen replied. He was glad that he did listen to the system at that time, if he hadn't, things would have escalated to a point of no return. He closed his eyes to sleep but before that, a knock came at his door. He stood up to go open it and when he did, he saw Sam standing there with some clothes in his hands.

"Here, the Dean said I should hand them over to you," Sam said as he handed the clothes to him.

"Are these my uniforms?" Allen asked as he collected them from him.

"Yes. Classes will begin tomorrow, don't forget to wake up early," Sam replied.

"Thanks," Allen said to him and went back into the room. Before Sam left the spot, he stood for a while, staring at the door. He had questions to ask Allen but didn't know how to bring about them.

"Never mind, I'll find a way to do that," he mumbled and left the hostel.
