All my life I've always wondered how love happens, how emotions work, how people feel what they feel,at first I thought it was something you worked on, or something that you learn but really, it was something there all along, and this happened the day I meant him.
My alarm went off at 8:30, tired me couldn't find it easy to turn it off, later managed to but took some effort, lad back just staring at the ceiling, with no thoughts , no emotions, just quiet and numb, I normally liked this sensation it was like being half dead and half alive , my soul was at peace, until ...
"Elvira, breakfast !"
My mother yelled.
She just had to ruin the moment , typical.what would you have had be done , still stay in bed?, the foolish laws of nature supposing to the fact of her being my mother had to be abid to. It's not like didn't want to but not on her on Accord, I mean seriously.
After my morning routine, I got down to the living room then straight to the breakfast table to find my sole called family, most would find this scenario touching and instantly become emotional and grateful, ugh! Give me a break I grew up knowing these people nothing about them is and never will be moving.
"Elvira !, "
That was when I realized I had been thinking too long
" Aren't you gonna have breakfast?"
My father asked while my siblings giggled
" I think she's ..."
My younger brother Dalton attempted to say but couldn't, he knew the consequences
"Elvira just sit down and have breakfast"
My mother urged
I couldn't refuse this woman, it's like she's got the hold on me, as told I sat down and gaze upon the sustainace before me.
"I'll be at work a while longer, which means I won't make it in time for dinner, Elvira..."
I just looked straight at her knowing what she was gonna say
" Don't look at me like that, you know you have to,watch over Dalton after school"
My mother pleads
" Mum no please let Steven watch over us"
Dalton begs
"As much as I want to, I can't, I've got work"
Steven opposes
Ah Steven the favorite child, if I had known any better I'd say my parents were thrilled he came out first but I don't care, I never did
"Would you look at the time, am late as it already is , I have to leave" my father mr Trever exits the scene, with the supposive excuse of looking for our daily bread
"Shoot I too have to leave, bye mum"
Waves Steven as he too leaves
" Dalton, time to go"
And just like that I was home all alone, for the time being at least.
