Z walked towards the strawberry-blonde girl and stopped just a few inches away. Z's hand reached for the roof while the other was on the other side, locking Kaye in between her arms.

Kaye's breath hitched as she felt nervous when she saw her invade her personal space, catching her off guard. She swallowed a lump in her throat as she watched Z's sideways smirk play on her lips.

"W-what?" Kaye managed to take the word out of her mouth. Her gaze trailed down from the eyes to the lips of the woman, who was about to push her over the edge by simply walking over to her.

Z leaned over, and to Kaye's surprise—not disappointment, mind you—Z opened the door for her and turned around like she did not do that.

Astounded, the strawberry blonde's eyes followed the back of a retreating Z, and she exhaled the breath she had been holding.

She bit her lip and sighed to herself and thought, 'What the f*ck was that?'

She didn't wait for Z to get into the car before climbing in herself.

Kaye touched her heated cheeks with her knuckles, trying to calm herself down, beating herself in the process. She is afraid that the silence in the car will catch her loudly beating heart.

Contrary to the moment before they left the place, the drive back home was so peaceful.

Kaye watched the scenery pass by. The number of houses and buildings in the city replaced the view of the nature-filled town with those protruding trees of green glistening under the angry-looking orange-colored sky, hunting the sun, which is about to retire.

Her eyes traveled from the remarkable surroundings to the woman behind the wheels. She marveled as half of her face caught the fading orange light of the setting sun. Her eyes seemed to be glowing, and it was nothing more than taking the breath out of her.

"Like what you're seeing?" Z suddenly said that Kaye almost jumped in surprise.

The strawberry blonde woman cleared her throat and replied, "Whatever do you mean?" She tried to sound confident but bit her tongue when her voice cracked.

Z didn't respond but instead turned her head toward her. The shadow took over the latter's face, but Kaye could still see the silly smile hidden in the silhouette. She could even see her teeth glimmer against the light, and she felt like it was more blinding than the sun. It made her dizzy.

"Nothing much." Z pulled her eyes back on the road, looked around, and continued, "I mean, how do you find the place?"

Kaye never took her eyes off the latter and answered, "Since you're asking, I find it very beautiful."

A side smile slowly played on Z's lips as she felt accomplished today. "I'm glad you liked it."

The strawberry blonde just couldn't take her eyes off the stunning woman. The setting was lovely, but it paled in comparison to the woman she has her sights set on.

As they drove through the city's busy streets, time passed like a river.

Kaye was able to push the thoughts to the back of her mind and speak casually with Z.

"Has anybody told you that you drive like a grandma? No, actually, I remember my grandma driving faster than this." Kaye teased.

Z chuckled under her breath and answered, "Well, I hate to break it to you; I get that a lot."

"Why? Are you scared or something?" Kaye wondered why she wouldn't even speed up when there was really no risk at all. There's a speed limit for a reason, she reasoned to herself.

Kaye saw Z look down before shrugging and looking back at the road. She could swear she saw her mood drop and that she regretted asking.

"You know, J hates it when I take the wheel when we're out for a drive. He never lets me drive, but I never let anyone else drive this car, so I usually just drive in it by myself unless they pull me to their car." Z tried to lighten up but failed miserably.

Kaye's emotions overtook her, and she reached out to take Z's hand that was on the gear stick and gave it a light squeeze. She couldn't help but feel like there is more to what she was letting on, but she was afraid to ask. She was afraid of offending her and of prying further.

Z tensed at the sudden contact that she wasn't expecting at all. Her grip on the wheel tightened as she focused on the road. She wanted to tell Kaye that that was dangerous, but the heat it gave her was so comforting that she couldn't utter a single word.

"Hey, if it's something you don't want to talk about, you don't have to say anything. I'm sorry I asked."

"No, please don't apologize. There's nothing wrong." Z said, more like trying to convince herself.

Kaye's hand lingered for a brief period of time before she realized what she was doing. She immediately pulled her hand back and apologized. Z just smiled sweetly at her and continued driving.

She couldn't believe herself when she thought of intertwining their hands together. She swallowed and pulled her eyes back to the scenery outside, to the side of her window.

She tried to distract herself for a few minutes with the scenery, but the playlist Z was playing was so good that she soon dozed off. Either that, or she was exhausted from all the walking.

She blinked and realized that they were already in front of the café. She let out a yawn and asked Z, which was currently playing on her phone, "What time did we get here?" It was showing at 7:30 on the clock on the dashboard.

Z paused her game and looked at her, her bright smile almost lighting up the entire area.

"Good morning! We arrived here maybe 30 minutes ago, give or take.

"Really? I'm really sorry I fell asleep! You should've woken me up." Kaye covered her mouth with her hand.

"You were snoring so loud that I didn't want to wake you up yet." Z gave out an excuse when she just wanted to stay with her a bit more.

"Hey, I don't snore!" She blushingly glared at her and covered her mouth with the back of her hand.

"Oho, you do. I've got it recorded here." Z waved her phone and smirked at her.

"No!!! Give that to me, you!" Still blushing, she reached out and tried to grab the phone from her hands, but Z hid it beside her, far from her reach.

She tried to move closer to reach for it but came to a halt when their faces were just an inch away from each other.

They stared at each other for a while, which felt like an eternity. She stared at Z's eyes, and she saw how her half-open, in-desire eyes moved from one eye to another down to her parted lips, causing her to look down at the latter as well.

Z's ragged breathing is brushing her face, picking a fight with her labored breathing.

She saw how Z smacked her lower lips, which evoked a weird sensation inside Kaye. She'd do anything to claim those enticing lips, but she knows she'd never do it.

They stared at each other for what felt like hours.

When no one dared to make a move, Z took it upon herself. She closed her eyes and nervously lowered her head to claim those sensuous lips that had been haunting her over the past few days in her sleep.

Their attraction for each other was so strong that both disregarded the fact that they had just met and just changed contacts today, hoping that maybe they got to know each other more than they asked for.

Kaye felt a warm and fuzzy grip in her chest as their lips met. She could almost hear the sound of the rapid beating of her heart.

It almost feels like time has stopped since the moment the two soft lips collided. Their lips pressed together for what felt like an eternity before Z let her guts take over.

No words could describe the feeling of wanting more that felt strong inside of her.

Z has never felt this way about any other woman. She's had her fair share of women in bed, but she's never had a kiss that promised such an intense feeling of arousal, leaving her wanting for more when she's hardly had anything yet.

It's only their lips pressed tightly together and nothing more.

She slowly lifted her hands and dropped the phone in her lap to pull Kaye's face closer when, all of a sudden, the music jumped to the next song, playing one of The Beatles' songs.

[Boy, you gotta carry that weight!]

Both of them jumped in surprise. They looked at each other once again and Z chuckled nervously.

Kaye looked down, not wanting to meet her in the eyes to hide her flushed face.

"I'm sorry." She heard Z apologize. She looked up and saw Z fixing herself in the driver's seat, looking down at the wheel. "I-I got carried away, and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that."

Kaye was confused as to why she was apologizing. "What do you mean?" 'Why? Did she not want to kiss me? She's sorry that she kissed me?'

Z couldn't find the words; she thought that it was rude to kiss her without her consent. She thought Kaye might be straight and that she would hate her because of that one stupid mistake in which she failed to control herself.

They were so engrossed in their moment that they didn't notice J standing in front of them, holding his phone.

"T-that was a mistake. Y-you might not even swing this way. I didn't mean to do that, and I don't want you to hate me because of that."

"Why would I hate you because of that?" still confused, but the tear she was holding back is no more. Why would she think that when she has been all over her since day 1?

"I—so, uh, did you like it?" Z shamelessly questioned Kaye, and Kaye almost choked on her own saliva.

She wasn't able to answer the question because, when she looked up front, there was a menacing silhouette that waved at her as soon as she laid her eyes on him.

*Spanish gasp*

She let out a gasp that made Z turn his head toward that all-too-familiar figure. She honked and opened the window.

"Man, are you serious? What the hell? Trying to look like a murderer?" Z shouts from inside the car, throwing her hand in the air outside the window.

"I've been here the whole time." He nodded like a madman, throwing both of them a knowing look.

"Daddy J approves." He called out, half-raising his hand for a thumbs up.

Z rolled her eyes. Felt like she caught a glimpse of her brain and could only say, "Jesus Christ."
