Aaron's pov
Olive Martinez I replay her name.
It's so beautiful. It left a sweet and sour taste on my lips when I whispered it softly.
Finally I can address her as something other than 'little'.
Not long ago I experienced some acts of courage and my knowledge greatly increased as well.
I got to know that in my 30 years of life I finally had a girlfriend who ruthlessly broke up with me because I was mentally ill?
How is it possible to meet a nemesis again and again within six hours of a single day?
Literally a few hours ago she bumped into me at the café and the following night she jumped at the head of my car.
Will she also appear in my dreams and become a nightmare?
I am deeply engrossed in these thoughts when I am shaken to reality.
"Sir, are you okay?"
I lift my head and notice Mr. Han anxiously looking at me. His worrisome eyes were trying badly to find a solution.
It is quite weird that I don't feel any anger rising up in me.
I nod my head and speak "Did she leave?"
"Yes, I followed her all the way out but couldn't stop her. She took a taxi and went away"
"Oh"
The officer walks across his desk and pats my shoulder.
"Don't be worried. She will come back if she truly loves you and can't bear to see you in pain" the officer says empathetically.
"Uh excuse me?" I eye the officer.
"I know, I know it can be hard to endure a break up, but don't lose hope"
"She wasn't my girlfriend how many times do I have to prove that?"
"Don't stress your brain; I can understand your feelings right now. My girlfriend also left me saying I made her worried because of my job. Do you know how many times I have endangered my life to protect the citizens?"
"I am surely not interested to hear any of that" I rely curtly
"Ahh, I see she really was a poor soul" says the officer in the worst possible pitiful tone. This officer is getting on my nerves for no good reason.
"I am not ill and she is not an innocent victimized girlfriend"
I yank myself up but the officer doesn't believe me.
"Would you like to file the report?" says the officer perfectly averting my gaze and switching topics.
He continues "Well your girlfriend said everything so fast I couldn't track all of it, so fill in this form accurately. All your particulars should be in there".
He taps his fingers gently on the piece of paper lying on the table.
"It isn't needed anymore" I turn on my toes and start walking towards the door.
But Mr. Han doesn't follow suit.
I turn my head to find him stiffly stuck at the same spot.
Did he undergo a lot of shock in a bit of time?
"Let's leave" I say while gesturing my hands towards the stairs ahead.
"Yes sir" he says and sprints unevenly to reach the car before me.
I, on the other hand, leave the police station in disbelief.
